Wellness Home Based Business Opportunities

Explore your options with opening or running your own wellness home based business.

  • Nutrition Home Business: You can spend some time educating yourself on becoming a Nutritionist (or similar) and then open your own consulting practice. You can also find a line of nutritional supplements that you feel comfortable marketing.

  • Personal Care Business: Inform others about how many popular personal care items can be toxic to their health and find (or create) personal care products that you enjoy working with and suggesting. You can also start your own accupuncture or massage therapy from the comfort of your own home, which is an increasingly popular wellness home based business opportunity.

  • Household Care Business: Many people don't realize how many toxins lurk in the kitchen cabinets, under bathroom sinks, or in the laundry rooms of their own homes. Become a voice and educate others on the importance of using more environmentally friendly products. Start your own line of organic or natural cleaners or promote an already established line.

  • Weight Loss Business: We all know the weight loss industry is a winner. Just think, how many people do you know that want to lose weight? Only problem with this niche is that you're up against a lot of competition. Did you know America currently ranks #4 for the most obese country? Check out the Obesity epidemic : the ten countries with the fattest people

  • Health Care Business: The medical industry, as most know it, is no longer the only option for health care. And with such outrageous health care costs and so many lacking health care insurance, you can become a Naturopathic Dr (or similar) and serve your wellness conscious community by offering affordable wellness health care options.

Starting a Wellness Home Based Business

Now that you've explored your options with a wellness home based business, the next step is to decide which wellness business option may be best for you.

Do you have a lot of capital set aside to start your own wellness home based business? Do you have any specialized training or knowledge to lean on? Unfortunatly, most of us wanting to embark on the journey of starting our own wellness home based business just don't have the criteria it usually takes to do so. If you do then great, go for it!

If not, the one option you may want to seriously consider or take a look at is the interpersonal marketing industry (aka MLM or network marketing). It's the easiest way I know of starting a wellness home based business (and even has a track record of success) without all the training, skill, overhead, and risk it takes to start your own home based business. While a little training and equipping is necessary, the best part about building a business with the interpersonal marketing industry is that you can earn as you go. There are many companies and opportunities available that will probably appeal to you. You can find a company that falls into any one of the five wellness home based business opportunities mentioned in the bullets above.

I have to agree with weareagelsandiego. The health and wellness industry is a pretty safe option when considering a home based business. More than ever people are becoming more health conscious and are turning to all natural vitamins and supplements to get, or stay, healthy and fit.

Though there are a number of health and wellness companies out there, I decided to partner up with TriVita, a 10 year health and wellness company out of Scottsdale, AZ. I've been in the home business arena for 8 years and I have NEVER felt as good about my decision to join a business opportunity as I do right now. :)

Keep up the great hub work, belief713!

Interested in health and wealth but tired of network marketing or MLM?

Consider a globally established franchise that is not network marketing or mlm.

How We Are Different:

a) Any good Network Marketing and MLM company will saturate the market making it difficult for new business owners to

build a business because everyone is doing the same thing.

We are different because we utilize a blue ocean strategy combining several best trends of our time including ecommerce, franchising, direct sales, consumer marketing, SoHo, and bio technology all into one business model.

We are not network marketing because our compensation plan does not have any "levels" such as bronze, diamond, gold, platinum. There are No Complicated Levels. Period.

However, it is one of the most generous offered today...

Hope this helps,

@Christyn1224 - I agree - the Wellness industry is definitely the place to build a business if you are looking for one to get started in right now. And you're right, the list is very long of wellness opportunities and companies. It's important to just pick one that best fits you and your needs and likes! Thanks for your comment! Best wishes on your business!

@Gurmit - thanks for mentioning franchise opportunities, I hadn't thought of that one. But I do have to disagree with you in that not all MLM companies have qualifying or "complicated" levels in order for you to make money. It really depends on which company you choose to partner with - the one I chose doesn't have those qualifiers.

And even if there are a bunch of people doing the same business, there are always new people looking for one, young and old!

Your website does have a great presentation and excuse me if I'm wrong, but it also looks like an MLM/network marketing opportunity...?
