Ask Susan Peters - Are Wellness Healthy Dog Foods?

Wellness has done a good job of making healthy dog foods. Healthy dog foods do not include needless grains and other pet health damaging ingredients.

Pet food producers are using ingredients unfit for human consumption which are killing our pets. The ingredients in pet food must be changed!

The use of Corn, Wheat, and Soy are causing such awful conditions in pets including:

  • Dry and itchy skin
  • Fever
  • Ear aches
  • Ear infections
  • Hot Spots on the skin
  • Bad breath
  • Dental disease
  • Hair loss
  • Sore feet
  • Abnormal nail growth
  • Bloat
  • Weight gain
  • Tumors
  • Moles and warts
  • Seizures
  • Blindness
  • Deafness
  • Heart conditions
  • Kidney conditions
  • Liver conditions
  • Early pet death

These companies need to be held accountable for the injuries to our pets and our best friends early deaths!

Thank you Wellness for making Healthy Dog Foods - Susan Peters

I had been waiting for your reply about Wellness products. I am happy to see that Wellness products contain no junk for pets.

I found the Wellness site on the Internet, and they had a very easy product locator.  I discovered that Wellness products are not sold by chains such as PetSmart or PetCo, at least not in my area.  They are only sold by local pet product retailers whose emphasis is on "natural" foods.

Thanks so much for the good work you are doing.

Sally,

So far I am pretty impressed with the product.  They do have a couple of things like garlic in some formulas, etc.  I feel out of fairness I should take a point off for the garlic since it has been known to cause problems but given the weight of my reviews (geared toward grains, etc.) I sure hate having to take points off for trace amounts of garlic.

I am about 1/3 way through the reviews for Wellness.  I have the cat formulas to review when I finish the dog formulas.  You won't believe this but I have over 1,600 review requests so I'm running a bit behind in getting these reviews completed.  Be patient with me and I'll get the rest of the reviews out soon.

Thank you for the information about the availabiltiy of Wellness.  It is a shame Wal-Mart (only store available in my area) doesn't carry something healthy, isn't it?

Susan
