Bard of Ely's songs remastered for a new CD album

I am proud to announce the forthcoming release of a CD album of my songs in a special collection along with a DVD copy of a video of my song Welsh Wizard, which is also the title track.

Alan Craw, who runs DisAssociation Music and Media, DMMG Records and Cyrkel Spynn fanzine has remastered songs of mine, most of which originally were featured on underground tape label releases on cassette back in the 90s. The songs are in various genres from acoustic to garage rock to folk, country and I even venture into rockabilly for one number.

Three of the songs, including the title track, were recorded later on in 2003 and feature Crum, who has been a keyboard player for Hawkwind and who has his own band the Moonloonies. Crum has added some synth overdubs to give them his own spacerock and cosmic touch.

The artwork for Welsh Wizard has been done by my very good friend Sioned Williams aka Blodwen.

One of the songs is entitled King Arthur's Coming and is about my friend King Arthur Pendragon, who is famous for his work as an eco-warrior and campaigner and for being the leader of the Loyal Arthurian Warband druid order. The song was used by The Slate on BBC Wales and also on documentaries by Meridian and ZDF television companies.

Another song from that time period is called Land of Our Fathers and is a very grungey eco-protest rock song featuring some soulful backing vocals from my former girlfriend Mandy. The song was released as part of a limited edition plum-coloured vinyl EP on Pink Lemon Records from Germany.

Jungle Love was recorded with Cardiff rockabilly band Get Rhythm.

Welsh Wizard represents in many ways a selection of my songs from various points in my career as a singer-songwriter and features various backing singers and musician friends. It is a musical portrait revealing my eclectic nature and creative inspiration.

Alan will also be re-releasing Dive In Deep, a cassette album remastered for CD, which in the 90s had been a best-seller on Mick Magic's Music and Elsewhere underground tape label.

Congratulations!  I know how great it feels to see your music published.  A friend of mine has posted 7 of my old tunes on YouTube recently and that made me really happy.  So, I am happy for you.  That is an interesting song. Nice guitar playing, too.
