Wes Anderson is without a doubt, in my opinion, one of todays greatest filmakers. His resume includes "The Darjeeling Limited" (2007), "The Life Aquatic Wth Steve Zissou" (2004) "The Royal Tenebaums" (2001) "Rushmore" (1998) and " BottleRocket" (1996). But it seems as though every time I watched one of his movies with someone else they would always say they couldnt understand his humor. I guess maybe its an aquired taste. I seem to laugh my ass off whenever i sit down and watch one of his many marvelous creations. Bill Murray, one of my favorite actors, is absolutely hilarious in Life Aquatic...the scene when he switches on the underwater music from his little helmet and he starts "dancing"....classic. Or how about Owen Wilson in pretty much any of his WA appearances...Im mean i can go on and on...but its hard to change someones mind about his films i guess....you either like em or ya dont. I celebrate the mans entire collection!!

And lets not forget about the music in his films. I strongly believe that a great music selection in films can MAKE OR BREAK THEM!! To list just a few of the artists in his films: Cat Stevens, The Who, The Stones, The Kinks, John Lennon...and not to mention Sigur Ros..a personal favorite....these are just a few.

Bottomline: If you are willing to spend a little extra cash, go rent (or buy) BottleRocket and Royal Tenenbaums right now. Watch them, and if you liked them go get yourself The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou....and if you liked that..go get The Darjeeling Limited and Rushmore...take it one or two at a time and really let them sink in...enjoy the music... now you are a Wes Anderson fan!
