Monster Potato Delight

The Westinghouse Steam N Mash electric mashed potato machine is truly a sight to behold, resembling a mad scientist’s combination of an electric steamer and a rotating hand blender. One has but to close one’s eyes to see Boris Karloff on a laboratory slab, coming to life and snatching the machine from some lovely damsel’s grasp, causing mash and mayhem throughout the potato-loving countryside.

At a price range from $19.99 to $59.99 (online or at stores such as JC Penney), this versatile appliance automatically steams potatoes and other vegetables and then gives you the unique option to “mash at will.” The procedure could hardly be easier. Simply add peeled potatoes and the Steam N Mash steams them until they are done via a 60-minute timer with an auto shut off function. By the mere touch of a button, the mixer then takes over with its uniquely designed “beater arms,” which purees your potatoes or other choice of vegetables to perfection.

The food tray of the Westinghouse Steam N Mash is designed to hold up to three pounds of potatoes or other fruits and vegetables at one time. If you really get creative, you can use the blending switch for adding and mixing ingredients after the mashing process is complete. (Don’t get too artistic though. Remember, this machine is used exclusively for food.)

Most users agree that there are few gadgets cooler and more versatile than the Steam N Mash, especially when cooking for a large crowd. It is important to remember to add water and make sure the beater bar is on all the way. You will have to take my word for this or proceed at your own risk (or ask someone you don’t like to do so).

The Westinghouse Steam N Mash is the perfect addition to your next birthday bash (or mash, if you will).
