If I were a Whale, wanting and waiting and wishing...

....................I would be at war

With whalers and with

.......Those that think some perfume is far greater

Then my need to continue to be

................Or my right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness...

But of course, I would only be a whale

..............Who doesn't know the difference between right and wrong

And who couldn't possible have a culture and language

That goes undetected

..............By your sonar and clump of matter

You call your brain...

Rumors, I suppose

................Like myths?

................Have no relationship

And those Whales...Those holy ...huge...big eyed beauties that

.........Hug the ocean

.......................Couldn't possibly love one another

Or comprehend a better way of living when we do...

........Whales teach their young the A B C's

And mama Whales warn their young about the Human species

And papa Whales teach their young that war is terrible

And that Whales cannot wage war

And that the concept of self-defense only applies to bipeds
