The monstrous pressure to conform to societal norms includes the removal of hair from certain places on your body. Depending on whether you are a male or a female, there are different places on your body that you are expected to have smooth skin, which for males is on your face, especially if you have a high power job or any job, and for females your legs and underarms are expected to be smooth. It has become engrained in our social structure that these places on your body should be free from hair, at least in the States, it is. While there are only a couple of options that you have to remove this hair, there are serious negative drawbacks to each one that you are going to have to take into account before you choose the one that you think will be best for you situation. While shaving has been the traditional option, that has been used for a long time, it has some drawbacks, especially for women who need to remove hair from their facial area, because it is easy to cut yourself, and you are going to have to keep shaving on a regular basis because the hair grows back from the follicle very quickly. The other options on the market right now include waxing, hair removal creams and lotions, and laser hair removal treatments. For people looking for a permanent facial hair removal treatment, you are going to want to look into these last three options. For the rest of this article we are going to talk about the pros and cons of each of these treatments that are permanent hair removal options.

Permanent Facial Hair Remover

One of the most commonly used permanent facial hair removal systems is using wax, which is put on your skin warm, and then the strip is yanked off quickly when the wax is dry, which effectively pulls out the hair by the follicle. The drawbacks for this treatment include intense pain in the area that you pull the wax off.

The next option that is available to you is a hair removal cream or lotion that are generally refered to as depilatory. When you apply the cream, you leave it for ten minutes or so, and then wash it off with a warm wash clothe and the hair in that area should be removed and will not grow back for a couple weeks. This is an appealing option for a lot of people, because they do not want to pay for laser hair removal and they do not want to endure the intense pain that comes with waxing, especially on the facial area.

Permanent Facial Hair Removal At Home

Permanent Facial Hair Removal Cream

One appealing option for permanent facial hair removal is the laser hair treatment. You can get this treatment done in a professional setting or you can buy an at home product. In any case, you are going to have to pay the up front cost, which especially for a professional treatment is a lot, and then you are going to have to give yourself some time to recover. Now, on the market, there are more and more at home laser hair removal products, which allow you to do this procedure on yourself in the comfort of your own home. Whatever option you choose, you should do thorough research into it and then do a test run to see how effective it is and how your body reacts, because you have to live with any consequences of using these products.
