How To Conceive A Son

This may sound a little whacked in these glorious days of supposed enlightenment, but there are some people that believe it's possible to get pregnant in a specific way, that the odds are increased of having either a son or daughter.  I was reading just such an article the other day, and couldn't help myself but want to relate it to my readers here.  Apparently, there are some specific days during the month, where your are more likely to conceive a son than a daughter.  Uh uh . . . yep that's what it said.

I was obviously intrigued, and simply had to read more.  Well, to add a little credibility to this story let's just state that conceiving a child on a specific day like the 15th or 22nd will have nothing to do with the sex of your child.  Neither will phases of the moon, the tides, or the release of the next Paris Hilton major theatrical release.  Apparently, there is some connection to conceiving in relation to your own ovulation cycles.

The "expert" claimed that conceiving a child towards the end of your ovulation cycle will increase your odds of having a son.  Now, don't go confusing your ovulation cycle with your menstrual cycle, as they are very different things.  While every woman on the planet is well aware of her menstrual cycle, and when it begins and ends, they are a little less sure about their ovulation cycle.  With good reason understandably, as the signs are much more subtle.

Now the scientific explanation for why the end of your cycle is better for boys, is a bit sketchy, there was an attempt in layman's terms to explain it.  Apparently, there is boy sperm, and there is girl sperm, and apparently the boy sperm has a shorter shelf date.  Ok then.  Supposedly starting later means more of them will show up, with it is time to make the pilgrimage to the females egg.  I don't know, that seems a little weird.  Isn't the trip the egg the same distance no matter what time of the month?  Anyway, I digress.

I guess that theory has more to do with how long the male sperm lasts and if it has to wait around a little while for an egg to show up.  I suppose that might make more sense.  Apparently another factor to consider is your PH levels in your body.  PH is supposed to be determental to male sperm, so anything you can do to lower it, the better.  Modifying your diet to reduce PH can have a positive effect if your going for a boy.
Well, I don't claim that any of this stuff really works.  But then again, it doesn't sound like a big deal to try it either.  The price is the same for admission either way.  So if having a boy is high on your to-do list, then you may want to follow these instructions.  Of course, if a girl is your preference just do the opposite.
