Panic Anxiety Attacks

It is still not very well know what causes the first panic attack that a person has, some say it is stress related others tend to don't worry about that too much and focus more on preventing it from happening again, but ...

What is really a panic attack ?

Generally speaking it is nothing more than a very intense period of fear, anxiety and general discomfort, can have many causes, for example if you have a snake phobia, and happen to find one, if your phobia is strong enough, it might trigger an attack; this particular case is known as pathological panic, because it is not spontaneous.

This disturbance is actually quite common, more then a third of adults have them every year, women on the other hand are more inclined then men (two to three times more), this is why probably this article will be read mostly be females, but can be applied to anyone.

What Does A Panic Attack Feel Like ?

Usually when one has a an attack (at least the first) you don't naturally related it to panic, it is often mistaken by a heart, lung, or brain condition, and that causes the person to go to the ER with no apparent need (still no harm, in doubt you should always take that route) because generally the attacks are not directly dangerous to your health as they fade away within minutes.

When having an attack you might feel:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Fear of heights (Acrophobia) and vertigo
  • Increased heart beat
  • Increased sweat
  • Lack of air
  • Chest Pain

Among others, to these are a good indicator that you are actually having one

How can i cure it ?

Since this is more of a mental disturbance you cannot really take some medicine and be healed for the rest of your life, sadly it is just not that easy, the solution lies in handling the anxiety that provokes the attack and do not let it scale to an actual attack.

After the first attack you enter a cycle with constant fear of having another and, and that same fear of having a repeated attack, if not dealt with, will scale in another attack, and so on. What you must do is Break the cycle.

Often in treatments doctors prescribe anti-depressives and anxiolytics, this is just to minimize the effects and anxiety, the healing process in the end will be psychological and you must indeed make an effort to find a method that works for you.

So now that you know what does a panic attack feel like, if you are really looking for a natural method, medication and hassle free, this is for you Panic Away , have a look you have nothing to lose apart from your upcoming attacks.

If you do have personal experience related to the matter or just want to share some info that you know of, please comment below so other can benefit also from info.

Thanks

I've never had a panic attack, but they seem pretty intense. I hear about people having panic attacks all the time, but I didn't know exactly what they were talking about. Thanks.

It is important to know both the Causes of the panic attack and their treatment or preventive.

Panic attack is not a danger to ones health but it could be dangerous to the suffers life, like for example if the attack happens while he is driving.
