Ephesians 2:8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9. Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The last couple of days I been having these thoughts upon my heart. Jesus had traded a life of luxury for a life of sorrow. It's like He traded great riches. And for what? For me? I am worth nothing really.

Jesus traded His life for me. Its like trading a million dollars for a penny. Jesus traded His life for a lot of people. I can't understand why some people will trade what God has given them for a penny. They go back to their old ways. They trade eternal life for eternal torment. They are not happy about anything either, for they have tasted the good things of God. And have now traded it for the things of the world.

If anyone that reads this is thinking about giving up on God, I encourage you to keep looking toward Jesus for all your needs. I know it seems sometimes that he doesn't hear us, but God's Word says He hears our prayers.

Prayer

Father God, help us to stay in your will and help us, Lord, to hold onto you with all that is within us. Help us to encourage ourselves and others, Lord, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

When people we know stray away it is up to us, let them see our good lives we live in Christ. Be cunning but be gentle when speaking to them to help them turn back to Jesus. I do not believe that if a true believer in Christ strays away they can ever lose their eternal salvation. Jesus paid for their sins but they can lose their health, even their life, if they refuse to come back. We are all saved by grace and in faith we must hold onto our beliefs in Jesus, and help others to because these are the last days.

Thanks for the comment. We are indeed saved by grace. Jesus death was for the purpose of salvation. I will state that a person can indeed lose their salvation if they're not diligent.

Deceiving spirits are everywhere seeking whom they may devour. Rest assured they would love to tear you and me both all to pieces.
