Make Your Relationship Stronger

What does a couple need to know about each other in a relationsip? Sure, you know each other’s past, habits and behaviors.  But do we really pay attention to what the other really needs.  A lot of the time, this is where we fail, we think we have it all down packed and know it all.  Sometimes that’s a problem.  To make your relationship stronger you need to understand one another, allow each other their own space every now and then.  Support one another in their endeavors, their ideas, their efforts, etc.

A lot of the times, we say things we don’t mean because we let anger and our pride get in the way. You should be in tune with one another, your mans weakness is your strength and vice versa.  Pick each other up when one is feeling down.  Do more things together, no matter what it is, get involved with some of his projects, sports, etc.  A lot of the times, we seek what we can get instead of looking at what can we give.  Make a list or simply ask what it is that he needs from his significant other.  Take notes, observe, join in be one together and not separate.  There’s a Spanish saying that I use to hear a lot and that is “a man makes a woman and a woman makes a man”.  That is so true, where he is weak you are strong!

A Man’s Need                                                   A Woman’s Need

Sexual Fullfillment                                         Affection

An attractive spouse                                     Financial Security

Conversation                                                  Support

Loyalty                                                           Honesty

Recreational Companionship                         Intimacy

The list can go on and on, this is just an example of how you can make a list and make mental notes.  Put it to the test.  Don’t speak negatively to each other.  Speak to one another with loving words, and kindness.  Enjoy each others interests.   Learn, incorporate, teach and participate is my remedy.
