Attention girls, guys like  their girlfriends as fun people to be with for the short term if they like you and  wants to be with you for the long term if they love you.  Now how do you get to the latter from the former.  That is where a woman’s intuition comes in and all women have the feeling when their man is serious about them or is just playing around.  You do not want your boyfriend to be “just kidding” when your hopes and dreams for a future is partially based on  your relationship with him. 

Guys like it when   you got have your act together  and that you are a student pursuing a career of a specified  choice of interest.  Your career interest could be  a pathologist but if you are passionate about pursuing that particular goal, then he is all for it.   The bottom line here girls is that guys think more highly of you if your goals are not solely centered on him.

Yeah, he likes to see you in the skinny jeans and he likes the back flipped ponytail and the natural make up look, but he will like you better if you show him that you have substance. What guys really like for the most part is not covered in the glamour magazines or the fitness magazines that you glance through at the check out stand at the local mall.  Guys could care less that you are dressing like the do picture instead of the don’t picture on a what not to wear spread or layout.  You may enjoy being fashionable correct, but as far as guys are concerned, they are looking deeper into who you are as a person and where you are placing your goals and ambitions.

Most girls would say, hey, all he wants is to have fun and to laugh and mess around.  My guy would care less about where my life is headed.  He thinks that what I do with my dreams, goals, and ambitions is all my own business.  If you have a guy that thinks that way about you then he just likes you and have no inclination to love you or to learn more about you than to have a good time.  If that is the understanding of the relationship and that is to think that good times will lead to love, marriage and the whole nine yards, and you are both happy in the relationship, then let it be as the Beatles popular song goes.  But a marriage entered into with such euphoric fun and games will not last the long term when reality of two people living together sets in.  Real life is difficult to  maneuver and will require that both people be of substance with real goals and a sense of what the two of them wants to accomplish out of life.

If the previous paragraph was a little deep for you then it is best to continue to play and have fun with no clear direction or path as to where the two of you are headed in a relationship.  Most guys do not like to commit to a relationship, so sailing the ship of good times is fine with them.  Guys like it when you are not coming on strong with the love alliances that could lead to the institution that most of think is headed out of civilized society and that is marriage.  Some guys just like to have a good time with their girl and that is fine as long as the girl is not so hung up on him that she is busy selecting her bridesmaids.

If you are looking for something other than what is being offered by your guy, use your women intuition to move on.  He does not think that you can continue to tag along with  him to video game tournaments well into his thirties do he?  At some point in time, he will have to get serious if he wants the relationship to amount to anything other than fun and games.  Guys like girls to stay on the same page as them.  If you want to continue to be his girlfriend, you can continue to follow him to the video game tournaments and everything will be just fine.  Some girls do not like to be lonely and likes the idea of having a carefree boyfriend that just wants to hang out forever.
Then there is the serious girl who wants more out of life.  There are guys out there looking for girls who do not just want to follow them around.  If you find a guy who likes a girl with substance, then you may have found your match.  But if you are not into looking for any binding relationship and just want to have fun, there are plenty of guys out there who will thankfully oblige.  Just make sure that whatever your guy likes about you that is the real you and you are not playing the part of keeping him just to be able to tell someone that have a boyfriend.   Ultimately, what a guy really likes about a girl is when she is true to herself and what she wants from him and out of the relationship.
