What He Thinks, He IS!
"No person is what he thinks he is, but what he thinks, he is!" - Dr. Robert Anthony
Dr. Anthony speaks of the "Law of Magnetism" in his book Total Self Confidence.
You will draw to yourself that which you persistently think about...Whatever you give dominant thought to, whether it be sickness or health, success or failure, abundance or lack, love or hate, the object of your attention will be attracted to you.
So wouldn't a garden be a great analogy for the above declarations. If any and all seeds are allowed into our garden, what will we reap? We will have a garden choked by weeds and thorns. If we allow any thoughts, any news, any music, any movies, any violent images to be planted in our subconscious, what kind of results are we bound to get. It is very important that we tend the garden carefully. We must be constantly aware of all the thoughts that we allow to pop into our heads. When I first started paying attention to all the random thoughts I was having, I realized the majority of my thoughts were limiting my success. If you are like me, you consider yourself a pretty positive person. It was only after I started paying attention to my thoughts that I realized maybe I am not so positive.
Once you start paying attention, you will realize that we have so many thoughts, memories, images, buried deep in our subconscious from years and years of training. I would argue that most of those thoughts limit our true capabilities as humans. So are you doomed? Not in the least. Once you realize you are in control of your thoughts, life changes on a dime. Step one is to be conscious of your thoughts. Step two is to kill those limiting thoughts and grow those ideas that propel us forward. Ask yourself where that image, thought or voice is coming from. Money is a great example. Most people are taught lack vs. abundance. The mentality sent down from the age of depression is part of our DNA. "Finish your plate."..."Do you think money grows on trees?" Maybe it's not words, but images of your parents arguing every time the subject of buying school clothes came up. Maybe it's just the opposite. Maybe you were provided with everything growing up without having to earn anything, and then lost confidence when you had to fend for yourself in the real world. The point is we all have voices, images, thoughts, attitudes and beliefs that either empower us or limit us. The key is to figure out the difference.
"The Soul attracts that which it secretly harbors, that which it loves, and also that which it fears...Every thought-seed sown or allowed to fall into the mind, or to take root there, produces its own fruitage of opportunity and circumstance. Good thoughts bear good fruit, bad thoughts bad fruit." James Allen As a Man Thinketh
James Allen was born 1864 and died in 1912. This work has been translated into 5 major languages. The reason I mention the dates, is I find it interesting that this work echoes the dominant works of today which inspire people to recognize "man's visions can become reality, simply through the power of thought." If that idea scares you, what limiting thought just popped into your head? That's a good question, because that could be the very thing that is limiting your success to date.
Mr. Allen shares, "Man is manacled only by himself. Thought and action are the jailers of Fate - they imprison being base; they are also the angels of Freedom - they liberate, being noble." In other words at the base level it is easy to fooled by our thoughts and jailed by our own actions. When taken to a higher level of consciousness our thoughts followed by action can liberate us to any level we think possible. Notice James Allen doesn't advocate just wishing things were better. He mentions ACTION. "Even the man whose sole object is to acquire wealth must be prepared to make great personal sacrifices before he can accomplish his object;" Ralph Waldo Emerson puts it another way. "Ideas must work though the brains and the arms of good and brave men, or they are no better than dreams."
This is not about playing the blame game for our circumstances. This is about taking responsibility for our thoughts which inevitably means taking responsibility for our actions and environment. This leaves few excuses at our disposal. If we are tempted to explain away our circumstances by blaming where we live, or who our parents are, or how much money was passed down to our generation, we will continue to be stuck in that quick sand environment. All we have to do is walk down the biography section of the library to find one who was far worse off than ourselves who has reached much higher degrees of success. This is not me on a pedestal speaking down to the reader. This is really a diary of how I finally was able to make it out of my own quick sand. If you have read this far you can probably relate. The secret is, change your thoughts, change your life. I am constantly working on myself. Maybe I need more work than the average bear. There is probably a good deal of truth in that, but the more I work on myself, the more I see the general population blinded and limited by their own thoughts. I see it everyday. My mission is to bring a little awareness. There are numerous people who have always had this figured out. I am not speaking to this kind of person, but I am attracted to this kind of person. Change environment. Learn from them!
My secret is I work extremely hard of myself. I went from being a college dropout to following my dream as a professional helicopter pilot simply by working extremely hard on my thoughts. I later had great financial and business success as an internet marketing professional. This would not be possible without having that one day of being fed up with my situation. To make a long story short... I had lost everything. I was living in an empty apartment and I literally had hallucinations. I woke up the next day and decided to never ever be a victim of my thought again. That was the first day of the rest of my life. I went for a jog and started reading everything I could get my hands on. I have 5 or 6 books within reach of me at all times. When I travel I bring my books with me, or I listen to books on Mp3. Sounds like a lot of work doesn't it? Not really. I changed the way I thought about reading. I only read books in college to pass a test. Now I feel I'm missing something valuable if I'm not learning from someone who has done it.
Get around people you can learn from. No matter where you come from, if you seek you will find. They say your income will be, or is the average of your five closest friends. Do I advocate turning your back on your best friends? No, just realize that if your best friend is holding you back, you have made some choices on what kind of environment is going to influence your thoughts. Sometimes we have to let go when our loved ones are not willing to grow as fast as we are. I used to love TV, now I find myself feeling as though I'm wasting time. Trust me there are days when I sit back and feel like doing nothing but watching football, or a good hockey game. The point is, be careful of what is playing in the background and never ever fall asleep with the TV on. I used to be a political talk radio junky. Once I started paying attention to my thoughts, I realized that this programming makes me tense. How much damage did I do to myself before I realized this. I never watch the news. Pay attention to the news. Count how many positive stories you see. I will give you a cheat sheet. You will never hear any positive influential stories, and if you do it will be buried by the avalanche of negativity. Negative sells. My grandmother thinks the world is falling apart because she pays attention to the news and all the murders, rapes, and abductions that are highlighted everyday. I suspect that the same amount of diseased thinking occurred in her day, but there wasn't a magnifying glass on every news story like today. Careful of what you allow into your space.
For those of you who haven't been living under a rock, you probably have heard of THE SECRET. What an amazing eye opening movie. I've shown that the ideas in THE SECRET are not new. James Allen, and Dr. Robert Anthony among others speak of the same concept. Thoughts become things. We can control our thoughts and we control what stimulus reaches us. If you think of lack and disease guess what you will get. There is murder and rape and disease everywhere. What if you decided that thinking of such things no longer serves your purpose. There is abundance everywhere, trust me. All you have to do is look for it and it will appear right before your eyes. It all starts with gratitude. I never used to be happy with anything I got, because I thought that would limit my motivation to go after bigger and better things. It's just the opposite. When you start with an attitude of gratitude, the right things, the right people, and the right circumstances are magically magnetized into your life. I'm interested in your success big and small. I'm looking forward to learning form YOU!

What is The Secret to Internet Marketing?
If I had known this 10 years ago...
Since the internet came to the public I have been searching for ways to capitalize on the internet. Let's be honest. It is the biggest thing to happen to marketers EVER! Television executives know they are in trouble. Nobody watches commercials anymore with age of TEVO. My first experience with Network Marketing came right about the time the internet came out. I was sitting in one of my college classes and the professor announced that we could view our class notes on the computer at the library. Wow, how cool is that. I knew right then that was huge, but I was 3 months from graduation, and stuck in my ways. Think about that. The internet was not common knowledge when I graduated college. How did we survive? Seriously! When I graduated I was introduced to a network marketing company that was going to take advantage of this thing called the internet. I laugh now, but it was a pretty good idea back then. The company was called StarTronix. The idea was that we would use network marketing to distribute a laptop computer that had a credit card reader. Every time people swiped their card to purchase anything on the internet we would make a small commission. Well anyway that company went out of business, but it gave the taste of the greatest business in the world. Well to make a long MLM story short, I have done it all. I have burned numerous bridges with friends and family, called people out of the phone book, purchased leads and dialed tens of thousands of leads. I have had limited success, but that is not duplicatable. I have made so many mistakes and hit so many dead ends when it came to marketing and business. I am so thankful that I continued to learn, because I would have never run into the Reverse Funnel System. This System works for any business any network marketing program, and is a must for anybody considering marketing on the internet. I would laugh if anybody asked me to make a list of friends and family. Trust me, when you have found a way to turn your laptop into an ATM machine, your friends and family will be pounding at your door. Don't bug your friends. They have their own diapers to change, their own problems, their own TV shows to watch. They will come to YOU! Why did I do all those uncomfortable things to grow a business? Calling thousands of people who were just looking for a job, inviting friends and family to just take a look, passing out flyers... you name it! I did all those things because successful people told me to do that. I have to admit that I am persistent and I learned a lot from those experiences, but I'm done! I commonly reject people who are not right for my business. Why do I do that? My time is limited. Millionaires create systems, so they don't have to be chained to their desks. The Reverse Funnel System works for any business and I am so thankful I persevered long enough to finally find a way to stop banging my head against the wall.
