What I Learned From Tony Robbins
64My Notes
August 27th, 2009...
To do things you've only dreamed of here are a few things you should do:
- Model the best. Find out what they're doing and do it. There's no need to reinvent the wheel. Success leaves clues.
- Do what the best are doing to the best of your ability.
- Be more afraid of what life would be like if you didn't do this; if you didn't take action.
- Make it a MUST vs. a should
What Tony also said was to start an 8 week program and do one subject a week. Keep doing something everyday to build that momentum.
You make a break through by following through each day.
And know WHY you're doing this in the first place.
What's Your WHY?
If your why is anything like mine then it would be because your back is up against the wall.
If you're already doing well for yourself, but you want more then it's gotta be something you're hungry for, because the only difference in people is "hunger".
- Get into doing daily rituals
- Be 100% CERTAIN doing this will work
When you're absolutely certain that doing this one thing will give you that result and that result is going to change your life... you'll do it!
You gotta know WHY this is a must for you.
- Set Goals for Each of the 8 Weeks
- New Subject Every Week
- Practice Success in Your Head and
- Become Certain
Believe you have unlimited potential, because we all do. Being certain with unlimited potential means you're going to take greater action and that means greater results.
Have the results you want already in your head. See them over and over in your mind until your brain believes it and makes it happen for you.
You've gotta have an obsession towards this result. Make it so that it's inevitable to happen.
Perfect Practice Makes Perfect

The Power Of Vizualization
(my notes continued...)
Psychologist, Alan Richardson, conducted an interesting study to prove this point.
He formed three groups of basketball players and told them all to make a series of free-throws.
- Group A practiced making free throws for 20 minutes a day for three weeks.
- Group B visualized making free throws for 20 minutes a day.
- Group C, served as a control group and did nothing.
Can you guess which group improved the most?
The group that practiced making free throws in they're mind!
In their mind there was no distractions or outside forces that could get to them, so they would make perfect shots every time in their head.
Perfect practice makes perfect, but practice isn't enough.
It's being absolute certain so many times that when you go to do it there's no hesitancy and you execute.
It's having the certainty that makes you tap into your full potential, that makes you take massive action, that gives you massive results, that re-enforces your belief.
It's this cycle that makes a champion!
Mind Movies
(My notes continued...)
- Condition your mind (ex. motivational tapes, success stories, role models)
- Envision your reality just the way you want it
You don't need to know how... just know exactly what you want and stay focused on that.
- Believe in yourself and your unlimited potential
- Get yourself into a peak state
- Take disappointments and use them to propel forward
- Follow through on daily rituals and build momentum
- Change your belief by seeing results in advance
- Be absolute certain
- Get a big enough reason WHY
Get a big enough reason why that makes you HAVE TO succeed or condition yourself where you see it and feel it so many times that you're absolute certain and you just do it.
Get into the zone. Remember times where you felt great and step into that state.
Start FEELING progress.
Dream big and don't settle for less!
Here's the mindset to have:
There is a plan, and if isn't just luck, and if I get my big enough reason why, and get a little system for conditioning myself, and just do one step at a time, and keep learning and keep moving forward... I WILL GET THERE!
"Make it do today is not like yesterday, and tomorrow will be different forever." Anthony Robbins
