M. Night Shyamalan is back for another great film. The film is about an average man, David Dunn (Bruce Willis), who becomes the sole survivor of a terrible train crash-with no scratches or injuries. He later meets a mysterious stranger, Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson). Elijah believes comic book heroes walk the earth, and his obsession with David changes David's life forever. Shyamalan's direction was just excellent in this film by using a dark tone while grounding this one in a real world like environment. This film doesn't need any flashy fight scenes nor cool costumes, but it has something much more to offer, substance. Almost making these characters seem more like real people. Bruce and Jackson were just great together. "Unbreakable" is one of the best films I've seen.

Bruce and Jackson's chemistry together was great. In scenes like when David talks to Elijah, in the museum, and tells him how he drowned when he was a kid. Almost brings a tear to your eyes. Another scene, when Elijah is talking to Dunn's wife, it literally captures the viewer's attention as you can see the focus in Jackson's eyes. Thus, allowing the audience to see deep into Elijah's obsession over David. At every moment Jackson and Bruce capture the audience.

However, it was the story that made this film a success. Leaving us in suspense throughout the entire movie. One moment, it'll have viewers crying at the begining when Elijah is born, yet horrificly shocked at the surprise ending. This is indeed one of those rare films that stay with you after you see it. Using powerful scenes, like when David decides to explore his past and discovers the truth about himself inside a junkyard. Or when, David's son tries to shoot him. These are all scenes that help make Shyamalan's film such a moving experience.

This is indeed one of the most unique super heroe films ever made. Shyamalan doesn't need flashy theme songs nor great special effects; instead, Shyamalan tells a suspense thriller that'll haunt audiences after seeing it. "Unbreakable" is one the best films ever made
