The most important step to having beautiful skin is to keep it really clean. When you take your makeup off at night use a makeup remover or a good face wash. Use a product made for your skin type - dry, oily or normal. For oily skin follow up with a good toner and then a light moisturizer. For dry skin, use a good moisturizer for dry skin. Use wrinkle creams after this if you want.
The second key is water. Drinking your 6-8 8oz. glasses of water keeps your skin hydrated which makes it look supple and healthy. It also helps torid the body of impurities, including some of those that clog your pores.
The third key is food. Leave the greasy fatty foods alone! They are just poor choices for your overall health and no one who is unhealthy will have gorgeous healthy skin.
The fourth key is sleep. You cannot look rosy cheeked and lovely without enough sleep. Lack of sleep can cause dark circles under and over the eyes, bags under the eyes and a sallow and unhealthy pallor.
The last key is sun. Keep sunscreen on your face (and anything exposed to the sun on your body) in summer and winter. The sun will cause premature wrinkling and the damage can start when you're very young. Sunshine that isn't blocked out by sunscreen also causes age spots or freckling.Too much sun leads to skin cancer. The lighter your skin is the more it is prone to skin cancer so sunscreen is essential. Don't think that dark skin doesn't need it, too though.

I wish I could get myself to drink more water, but I do wear moisturizer with sunscreen in it every day! Thanks for the tips about great skin!
