From a technological standpoint I will be the first to admit I am somewhat challenged  . However I had a personal little victory today that had me nothing short of stoked ! Check this out ,I put a black and white and a color cartridge In my computer  printer unassisted ! Now you are probably rolling your eyes the way Susan does everyday when I have a question. And you might even be snickering the way one of those kids at BestBuy does when I walk Into the store with that look of perpetual bewilderment  that Is probably written all over my face.

                       But In my quest to catch up with the technological times I will be the first to admit It has been a long and painfully slow process to get up to speed. After this major accomplishment though I feel I have really turned a corner In my mission to be one of these cyber guys of the new millineum . I only recently discovered that I can DVR or record TV shows I like. Susan somewhat Impatiently and with a hint of sarcasm gave me a tutorial In the living room of our home on how this Is done .And the first time I attempted It I accidentally removed some show called " Gossip Girl " . I was,nt aware of this until I got home from work the next day . Because you guys know how It Is when you walk In from work and get THE LOOK !

             After another lesson In DVRing and a pretty loud chewing out I am happy to report there has not been an Incident since that time. Folks I am a dinasour I was a kid when color television was In Its Infancy, and we had to get up to change the channel ! Of course I was a kid and was not allowed to change the channel . 40 years later when she Is downstairs I am still not allowed to change the channel without permission . I thought at some point I would outgrow that ,but I know that I dare not bring this topic up for my own safety . I might be slow with technology but I am not stupid !

             But after changing the cartridges by myself I began to ponder my next challenge In overcoming technology . So what I did was I sent a text message to a friend and coworker to tell him the good news  ! This Is a feature I have on my phone that I only recently learned was available to me . It Is really cool ! It took me a little while to figure It out but I dare not ask you know who because she was In the middle of watching one of her DVRd shows . I remember when I bought the phone the kid at the store asked me what features I wanted and I said I wanted one that could make and recieve calls , he gave me a look like I had 2 noses on my head . But when I went to get the cartridges a week ago I had  dropped by the phone store to look at getting an upgrade because all those kids at work Insisted I needed a newer phone because mine Is like 3 years old .

                 I went Into the store and I looked at some models that could like take pictures and stuff ,this Is almost like the Dick Tracy comics to me where he has that walkie talkie with the picture and stuff.  Then they did not have the one I liked In stock so I left with my same phone . But to me I can still make calls so what Is the big deal ? I mean I keep hearing about this blacktooth and this blueberry stuff and I am still not sure why I need It.

                 It has been an exhausting last 3 years trying to learn all these new technologies . I have only had a computer for like 3 years . I remember when we got It ,I was not sure how to turn It on . And I was scared to because she said I might break It But I showed her because I now know how to DVR both TV shows that I like , and I probably spend more time on this damn computer then I ever Intended to . And now since I have joined Hubpages  ,I am learning to type and I believe that I am up to about 10 words a minute ! And that Is not bad for the 2 finger pecking method ! I want to throw In some of them pictures and videos like some of the other hubbers I enjoy do .but I have no Idea how you go about doing that . Maybe I should ask you know who---never mind .

                Well In any event I just wanted to share my personal triumph with you ,because as an old man who was my mentor on life said

           SHARED SORROW IS HALF SORROW AND SHARED JOY IS DOUBLE JOY !

                There Is no stopping me now !
