What Makes a Man Attractive?

There are very frequent and popular questions among girls which are: is that man charming or sexy enough? Why is he attractive? What makes a man hot?
Attractiveness is a unique feature, and as it’s impossible to learn how to become charming, it’s also very difficult to unveil the secrets which render a man attractive!
Despite all that, the attractive man always shines differently and is easily distinguished among his peers. That charisma magnetizes us spiritually and physically as well.
Depending on research and stereotypical concepts according to men, women are naturally considered charming because of the way they look, but the case is different to women when it comes to defining men in terms of attractiveness. While there is a focus on the appearance of men, there’s a lot more focus on many other things like the man’s personality, whether he pays attention to women or not and his tone with kids…etc
We should know that the look is not everything to recognize the attractive man as well as it’s not the money. I can define the attractive man in few words only: he is innocent, down to earth, manly and honest.
I will cite 10 reasons depending on a questionnaire conducted with experts plus normal women, but still, this remains a point of view from a different angle:
1-The attractive man likes kids. He knows how to communicate with children and understands them and he doesn’t do that to draw any attention; he does that naturally.
2-The attractive man has a genuine and high sense of humor.
3-The attractive man’s eye twinkles without a reason! He is always in search of the core of life. His eyes are sharp with eagerness to examine every single source of joy around him. These glimmering eyes can capture you, flirt with you and engulf you with tenderness.
4-The attractive man has an ever smiling face. He is not embarrassed to laugh his heart out without reservations.
5-The attractive man knows how to talk and control any conversation. His body is in harmony with his mouth and if he speaks, he will utter coherent sentences, and when the conversation heats up, it becomes fun just to listen to him.
6-The attractive man is a mysterious, enigmatic person. He is not ordinary in his clothing or the way of expressing himself. He makes you think that he always has plan B, and he is not the man of chances or accidents.
7-The attractive man is in love with the whole world: he chats with the grocer while shopping, he jokes with the cap driver, and he immerses himself in a pleasant chat with the neighbors!
8-The attractive man is captivating. He knows how to be a leader and knows what he wants. He is a man that you want to be with; to join and be sheltered by because he will show you things you’ve never seen in yourself and in the outside world.
9-The attractive man loves to interact with the four seasons of the year. He likes to wrap himself in winter and feel the wool on his skin, while in summer; he likes to wear as less as possible and enjoys sitting under the sun and taste the weather.
10-The attractive man loves food. He enjoys cooking and savoring every dish and sometimes, he surprises us with his cooking skills.

Attractiveness is somewhat in the eye of the beholder. And still there are the general outlines.
I am convinced that what makes a man attractive in the eyes of a woman has a lot to do with our primeval being, that he must be a good provider, have good stronge genes, etc.
I also know that modern environment is changing the way we look on men, like the first parts about being good with children and smiling.
I couldn't vote because I do not want to be an attractive, rich or handsome man. Ha!
My attractive man: sure of himself, knows what he wants, loves kids naturally, someone you can trust with - you, loving, kind, funny, serious when need be and loves my querkyness.

Interesting read if this what a survey says, but I have to say that none of the points rings a bell as far as I what I find attractive goes. (I really don't think an "ever smiling face" is something I'd find attractive; and I lean toward people, like me, who don't care much about food and who hate Winter, the way I do. :) )
My idea of an attractive man is one who has the appearance I find attractive (everyone finds something different attractive), one who is super clean, intelligent, and - most importantly - nice.
You are right Lisa, the above points are collectively considered the attractiveness traits. What I meant is that it's the combination of them all that render a man attractive, in addition of course to your points which are also a given thing. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Personally, i go for personality and i am even struggling with finding a man who has one of those! The qualities you listed sound wonderful, but are not all for me. Money isnt everything, nor are looks... and i dont think that man you discribe exists.. or..does he?!

I like and appreciate the noble attempt to define "attractive". I do agree with Brite that the whole idea is rooted in very primitive considerations. In current society, we have the luxury of considering things like being good with kids as well as superficial considerations like looks. "Attractiveness" has evolved right along with everything else. I'd like to think we have further still to evolve. Maybe someday, we'll be able to fall in love without ever laying eyes on a person... Wait! Haven't we already started doing that with the internet...?

A man who have the power, ie: Society value him a lot, then he is very Attractive. 90% of the womens thinks my man(may be lover, brother , relative or husband) must be acceptable to the public and he must have a good position in society. Body style is not a most considerable part.

Thats a very truthful info. I accept it. The very most and forerunning factor in this case will be "Manliness". Whatever a man looks like, whatever he does, wherever he is, the only thing which can attract women or even impress other men is his mainliness.

What makes an attractive men, is someone, who makes you laugh, reminds you how beautiful you are physically and internally, does his best to understand you, makes you happy even by telling you that you have pretty eyes, shoes, earing etc, most most importantly makes you feel safe :)
appreciates all the things you do, cooks for you, takes you for an ice cream during summer, coffe on winter, brings you a biscotti for fall and gives you the most beautiful flowers on spring.

I think you hit on alot of good reasons why men can be found attractive. Charisma being numero uno!
