What You Planted

In every action, there is an equivalent or an opposite reaction. SIr Isaac Newton discovered it.

This means that we receive what we give. Planting tomato will not bear an eggplant. We should always be reminded that this principle affects all that we do and all our experiences. Nothing beats this principle. Our mental health, physical health, success in our careers, and our personal relationships revolve around this - that we have to plant first before we harvest.

What is amazing about this principle is we do not know when we are going to harvest and be rewarded. But the reward always comes and what makes life exciting is the fact that we do not exactly know when.

What we have now in our lives is a result of what we have planted and have been planting until now. If we have been having strong relationships with loved ones and friends is because we have prepared the land before we planted. If we earn that much from our work and accomplishments, that is a result of our striving for a goal.

If we talk about other people, they will also talk about us. If we say good things about them, they will also say good things about us. If we cheated on other people, they will also cheat on us. If we are happy about other people, then we will succeed. If we lie, then we will also be lied to. If we criticize, we will be criticized. If we love, we will also be loved.

We can see that the Golden Rule applies to almost everything and in every way but the principle remains the same. We will be treated by other people on how we treat them. What we sincerely imparted, it will come back to us.

In a tomb in Egypt, these words are inscribed: He desired good for others what he wanted others to desire good for him.

Confucius said: Do not do unto others what you don't want others do unto you.

And the Bible says: Do to others what you wanted others do to you.

I fully believe the Golden Rule applies to everything in life. Sometimes it doesn't kick in as often as I'd like (like say, when somebody does me wrong), but in the end, people always reap what they sow.

Yeah it is, reap what you sow, and this is equals to the Third Newtons' Law...
