Neon and pink and lights bright lights, rock and roll and roll!

Hum, let's make a guess... Do pink lips and green eyeshades with blue eyelashes remind you something? What about leg warmers, one sleeve shirts, shoulder pads, tight jeans and bright colors? Rock and roll and bad hair day rockers with long long hair? Aerobics and colors? Large sweat shirts with a wide belt on matched with high heels? Sexy look and shock pink underwear? Chewing gums and balls popping out of your mouth all the time? Necklaces over necklaces and big earings? Hair bands and high up pony tails? Side pony tails and all the colors possible?

I think you got it right! The 80's!!! The movement I love the 80's has already started and you bet it will stay for a while! I love the 80's!!!

Get into the groove!!!

Boy you gotta prove your love to me! And you better keep on dancing because the 80's were not just a style, the 80's were a movement. Arts, fashion, music, cinema, dreams were different back in the 80's. The era of rock and roll and pop music was all about having fun. Madonna, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Cindy Lauper, Prince were some strong names for pop music while the rock bands and their amazing guitar sounds rocked the world. Bon Jovi, Megadeth, Whitesnake, Metallica, Guns and Roses rocked our days. The smiths, The Pixies, Pogues, The Cure and Sisters of Merci made us sing their songs... The world wasn't the same back in the 80's. Colors in pop and black leather for rock were a must back then! Who doesn't remember once in a lifetime had seen ET, the Return Of Jedi, Cocktail, Flash dance and Fame? Who doesn't sing without a single mistake Take my breath away or Is this Love?

Anyone who lived in the 80's as an adult, a teenager or even a child knows what I am talking about... Come on, put that old music cd on and sing with me!!!

Express yourself

The art on the 80's was rich in expressionism. Espressionism is an art's movement started after world war II. It started in the 50's, but in the 80's it was the major style for painting. Expressionism is a style in which the authors distort reality to obtain an emotional effect on their paintings. It has a subjective way to paint something and the paintings transmit emotions better than the real lines or drawings. Some say it descends from surrealism, artistic movement started in the 20's, in which the author wants to surprise. This surprise is achieved by representing different realities or by gathering different elements and different ideas on the same painting. Salvador Dali is a good example of surrealism movement.

Abstract expressionism explores the abstract style. Abstract paintings are related to the unconscient, to the imagination in a pure form and usually do not represent real objects. Abstract is connected to the emotions and thoughts of the author and it is a subjective style in painting. In abstract expressionism style, the subjectivity of the forms, emotions and reality are modified in order to transmit an emotion over a reality. It is the communication of the expression of oneself to the others.

Norman Bluhm, Ross Bleckner and Charles Clough are some abstract expressionism artists of the 80's. Lots of other names and artists exist. Abstract expressionism was the first american art style and it started in New York City. This style crossed oceans and continents and received a worldwide recognition of an amazing and original form of art.

Express yourself!

Express yourself on the walls of your town

In the decade of the expressionism, graffiti started to be seen out on the streets. Street artists began to paint on the walls of their hometwon their perception of reality. Graffiti transmits a message to the world. It explores the feelings and emotions of the author. The paitings have motion and are colorful and full of life. You are able to express yourself in your own environment's walls. Murals and walls of your street, your block, your town or city are perfect backgrounds for everyone's imagination and messages. Graffiti artists are real artists and the drawings are amazing to look at!!!

I love the 80's!

To talk about the 80's and not to talk about fashion is not acceptable. The 80's were an imaginative and expressionist decade, and 80's fashion was a mark in clothes design. Even though we are not in the 80's anymore, the children of the 80's have a special tender feeling towards these years. The 80's were the expression of a world of love and emotions. Sexy clothes, big hairs, exagerated make up on girls were some of it. Make up on boys was acceptable and no gay tendencies were extrapolated from the fact that boys could wear make up, long hair and earings. The 80's were a different dimension. The 80's were the freedom of mind!

Presently, fashion has 80's influences. It started around 2002 and some of the accessories we use today come straight from that decade. Leg warmers with high heels, leggings with mini skirts or large tops with a belt are 80's style. The bright colors in this season and solid pink, yellow, green, blue come from the 80's as well. There is a lot you can do with the 80's. A touch of the 80's in your style can be very pleasing and I can garantee you you will have lots of fun wearing it!!!

Bright sunglasses, hand warmers, leg warmers, leggings, large and big sweaters, tight jeans, collars, balloon skirts, balloon dresses, metallic clothes... The 80's were one of the richest times in creavity! They were so imaginative, that you can pick up the things you liked the most and leave behind the ones you don't like... Bad 80's existed as well as shoulder pads, bright suits, sneakers with jeans... Nevermind... Let's stay with the good 80's fashion!!!

Good bad hair day!

Are you in a bad hair day? Oh, that's quite easy to solve! With the 80's style coming back gradually, bad hair days are actually good! Make your day a good bad hair day!!! If you like volume, spray it up with hair spray and make a 80's style small mane! Grrrrrrrrrr! You're a lion!

If you want to put it up as a pony tail, no worries, just put your pony tail the highest that you can at the back of your head. Side pony tail can be fun too!

If you are tired of mellow straight hair... Wave it or curl it up!!! It's totally in!

Let's get physical

Jane Fonda was the queen of the fitness back in the 80's! Fitness became highly important with the 80's and aerobics was a favorite work out back then. Nothing against it, it switched slowly to cardio or high and low impact. Aerobics was a revolution in the typical workouts and the best of it, is that... it can never be boring.

Tired of working out on those machines in your gym? Feeling bored by doing the same workout over and over again? Think twice! There are lots of fun ways to exercise.

If you feel like jumping and dancing a nice choreography that just lets your mind go and gets your body in shape... Jump it up! Cardio or high low impact classes are available everywhere and are just FUN!!!

Have fun with the 80's in the 00's!!!

Girls just wanna have fuuuuuuuuun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
