Fish oil. Say the word. Roll it around in your mouth--FIIIISH OIIIL.  How does it feel?  Fishy?

It should. After all, nothing is as fishy as fish oil.

The question is, what are the side effects of fish oil?

In other words, 'what happens to your body should you ingest fish oil?' As we all know fish oil can be ingested at any time...walking down the street, or opening your window, or just yawning...fish oil may get into your system and believe me, you won't find it easy to get it out again!

Yoko Has fish oil everyday !

Fish oil cannot be taken too lightly and YOU should know more about it in order to be aware of it's side effects.

Let's start with the fish.

I have a goldfish. He looks at me like I'm from outer space. I look at him, swimming there in his little bowl, opening and closing his mouth, calmly swimming about like he owns the world and has nothing to worry about. Big eyes, big mouth, and ugly as hell. But still, he is my goldfish so back off. Don't make any remarks about my fish, that's my job.

Now back to fish.  What about this fish oil problem?  Or is it more of a side effect?  Well don't eat any fish and you won't have any side effects from fish oil!  That's my suggestion.

But I know you will say 'hey, what about if I want to eat fish oil? What then?'

In that case you need to watch out for a few things.

What those are, I don't know. I doubt there are any.  Just eat your fish oil and enjoy.  It will give you lots of nutrients, like vitamin B12, vitamin E, and so on.  Maybe you will feel better. Maybe now you can move out of your parent's basement and start to live like a real man.

Who knows?

Dear Dr. Donohue: In 1994, I had a reaction to fish. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told me I wasn't allergic to fish but to a poison in the fish. Now I avoid all large fish and eat only farm-raised fish or smaller fish. Is this ciguatera fish poisoning an allergy to which I can be desensitized? Does canning fish inactivate the poison? Are canned salmon and tuna safe?
