The first thing that you have to know is that medications are risky because they do cause side effects, each person have different degree of tolerance to the medications, so its important that you consult your doctor.

The advantages of medications is that they can relief many of your symptoms quickly and make you feel more confident and calm in social situations. For example, most people reduce their symptoms of anxiety, trembling and depression with anti depressants.

Usually a person that needs medications to treat social phobia need to have a prescription from a physician or doctor, then the doctor has to monitor your progress over a period of time to make sure that is causing good effects and not creating risky secondary effects.

What happens, is that many people try different medications over a period of time until they find something that works great for them and cause minimal side effects.

So as you can see is not that simple to decide which is the best medication for social phobia, however im going to tell you a list of medications being used to treat social phobia:

  • Prozac
