Use common items you have in your home. Transparent bottles can be used as paper weights when filled with buttons, ribbon, seeds etc. Caps can be painted or covered with collored tape. Large books (like telephone books) can have the pages folded in half (toward the spinee of the book). It will become a half circle and can be painted and decor added to each end to make a lteer holder. Cans can be decorated with yarn, paint, etc. to make cup holders - be careful of sharp edges - they may need to be filed down. Different types of dried beans, seeds, legumes, etc. can be made into a picture when glued to paper.
