Possible Dessert for Valentine's Day.

Kadayif Dolma- Stuffed Kadayif (Turkish)

Kadayif is shredded phyllo. The dough is fresh and its like very thin spaghetti.

Ingredients:

250 gm kadayif (available at Turkish stores)

250 gm walnuts, preferably fresh

4 eggs

1/2 tea-cup water

200 gm fresh cream

Any cooking oil

For the syrup:

2 1/2 glasses of normal white sugar (or brown)

2 glasses of water

1/2-Lemon Juice

Preparation:

For the syrup, boil the sugar in the water. Add the lemon juice. Let it continue boiling for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from the stove and leave to cool.

Seperate the shreds. Break the shredded phyllo along the length in your palms. Place the walnets in your palm and wrap the kadayif onto it nicely. Repeat until you're finished with the walnuts and the shredded phyllo. The walnut stuffed inside should be plentiful and beefy.

In a deep vessel, whisk the eggs with the water. Dunk the wraps that you prepared above into this mixture, and fry them in well and pre-heated cooking oil, until they turn golden brown.

Dip the hot pastrie wraps (called the dolma in Turkish) into the cooled out syrup. Let them absorb the syrup amply. Remove them from the syrup, and serve together with the fresh cream (can be served without cream as well).

I'd run a trial before Valentine's Day. You can also find some alternate ways of preparation. Come to think of it, I should have put this up on my website.
