When it is Time to Quit Your Job Regardless of the Economy

When it is time to Move on with your Job
It is time to move on with you job when you have another one to go to. The state of the economy is not only struggling in the United States but the rest of the world is experiencing difficult times as well. If you have a job, the best thing to do is to hang on at all costs until you can find another.
By now, everyone knows that money is not a job motivator but it does pay the bills and you would not want to leave your present job without another one in sight. If you have another job lined up, then you can began to look for the signs if you do not already know that it is time to let go of your job.
Sign Number One to Move On with Your Job
If you get up every morning and actually dread getting out of the bed, getting dressed, and enduring the commute to the office, then you have experienced the first real sign that you are not movitivated by your job. This is sign number one that you should be looking for another job. There are 365 days in the year and although your dreadful work week makes the off year seem longer; the dread of going to a job that you hate will wear and tear on your state of mind. The thoughts of dread will wear on you until the day of work feels like a year squeezed up into one day. That is the first sign, the sign of dread, that should get you to the online jobboards or to the state employment office seeking another way to make a living.
Sign Number Two that it is time to move on with your job
You find yourself taking more time off then coming to work and is looking forward to a meeting with the boss about the number of sick days that you have taken to shop at the mall. Unless, you are the guy in the movie Office Space who lack of attendance made him the boss, it is suggested that you list your absences as a sure sign that it is time to move on with your job. Dread of going to work and calling into your job more often than not means that it is time to look for another job.
Sign Number Three that is is time to move on with your job
Your work performance is not showing that you are interested in keeping the job. Your ability to get the reports in on time is a sure sign also that you should move on while you can still get good references. Do not jeopardize your career future by staying longer than you have to. Normally a two weeks notice is good, but you must have another job available to you. If a job is not available to you, then it is a good idea to come to work regularly to save your vacation time and take a vacation. Sometimes a vacation away from the job will provide needed time for you with the impetus to do a good job upon your return. Use the vacation time to fervently look for another job and make this particular vacation a work vacation. Saturate the job boards and network with family and friends to let them know that you are looking for work.
Any one of these three signs, dread, absentism or drop in job performance is a sign that it is time to move on and to look for another job. Good Luck.

metaphysician, thank you for your comment. I agree with you that you should not do anything that you do not like because you would not be motivated to do your best work.

Don't do thing that you don't like. Every motivational coach tells that because the passion in life will lose in such process.
