What are the advantages to using video marketing on your sales page?
60Just think about the 3 V's of communication (AlbertMehrabian1939-present)
Verbal, Vocal and Visual backup that any presentation can give you when using a video to get your sales message to people. If someone can hear your human voice and your tone sets a relaxing and inviting presence along with the gestures to go with it the wouldn't that be an asset to any marketing campaign?
Let me use a ridiculous example to prove my point...chain letters. If i send you a chain letter that says "send this to 10 of your friends and you will have good luck, but if you don't do it you will break the chain and have bad luck". You will probably laugh and throw it away right? I know I would.
BUT, what if I sent you a video and the speaker was very sincere in his approach, someone who can portray honesty and maybe even a genuine concern for your safety if you do not send out that chain letter. If the speaker was very cunning and even came off as apologetic for getting you involved in this dangerous game, you might actually feel inclined to just send it to your friends just to avoid any problems.
A good video example i can think of recently is "pay it forward". Now the concept is very widely used in MLM campaigns, but it does set something off inside you that is truly inspirational.
This is my first response to a request and i hope it is a good one.

I agree...rarely is a popup videoe or soundbyte welcome, and most times it scares the crap out of you anyways. I'll be making the embedded video a little smaller so I can add a couple more examples soon.
Well I have to say that video really hit home for me. It would be wonderful if that idea could be fulfilled all the way along the line. The kid's a bloody good actor too!

Yenseca,
This is a very good hub and great exxplaination of video on websites. While I agree that video can be awsome for presentation, I think the way it is presented is equally important. For example, if I go to a site and as soon as I get there, I have a video start playing with someone trying to sell me something, I am going right back the way I came in! LOL. Now, if the video is there and I have a choice as to whether or not I want to see it or if I prefer to read over the site, then I would be more enclined to view it if I am at all interested in the business or product. I love the concept of video, even have lots of video testimonials on my website. But they are at the choosing of the visitors and so is the business presentation video. To me, THAT is what makes the difference in whether or not video is a good thing. Great hub and keep up the good work!
