Meat is an easy source of protein. You have to think about your diet a little more to ensure you get enough protein when you are vegetarian. But meat also carries toxins, so you should not overdo it.

You could also talk about how beef gets a bad reputation because people don't eat it in moderate amounts.
Beef is part of a good balanced diet. As a matter of fact, you can eat anything you want, as long as it is in moderation.

Thanks for bringing meat back into the spotlight - it's become a dirty word in most circles - and it really is one of the best sources of protein.
Countrywoman - while soy protein is fine for some people, it has proved to cause so many allergies if vour digestive system is not able to handle it.

Dear Trsmd, meat may be an excellent source of protein but it's certainly not the best. Infact animal protein tends to leach calcium from the bones. This calcium passes into the bloodstream, then filters through the kidneys into the urine. Plant protein does not appear to have the same effect. A complete protein source is one that provides all of the 9 essential amino acids in adequate amounts. Ofcourse animal products are examples of the complete proteins, but plant foods especially grains and legumes often lack one or more of the essential amino acids btu become complete protein sources when they are combined. Apparently whey protein is the most complete protein because it contains all eseential and non essential amino acids.
Fermentation is another process through which high quality proteins are got.

nothing is 100% for everyone. u need to decide what is right for u. it is getting annoying everyone fighting about it. i wish that i could get informationn about it with out all the crap inbetween.
