Clickbank

Clickbank is one of the most populatr places for advertisers and promoters a like. They have the highest commissions and with a wide variety of products to choose from its easy to pick out a product for your blog or website.

The only downside to Clickbank is anyone can write a crap ebook and put it on clickbank. Just make sure whatever you choose is of quality and something your readers need. (Clickbank hub coming soon)

Why join an affiliate program?

The simple answer is cash. Money makes the world go round so why not jump on bored and start supplementing your income? Joining affiliate programs is easy and free. If you have a blog, website, or write articles take advantage of the fact that companies will pay you to bring them customers.

Most affiliate programs will pay 10% - 25% of all sales made through your specialized affiliate links. Some like CutesyGirl.com will even give you a percentage discount code off to entice your readers to purchase. All you have to do is sign up, post a blog about a subject where your readers will be interested in the companies products or services.

Commission Junction

Commission Junction what's your function? (sorry I couldn't resist) is a third party website that handles the paying and processing of promoters. They have a great range of major advertisers and "mom and pop" stores to choose from.

If you google certain keywords your readers might try to find products you can look through the results and see if companies that catch your eye offer an affiliate program. The link is usually located at the bottom of a page or you can go to their faq.

Affiliate marketing isn't the easiest thing to do but if you write quality content, interact with your readers, and strive to bring them the best information you can, you'll do well.
