Thinking about buying a home?

Are you thinking about buying a house, but you're unsure where to begin? You're not alone. Many people who want to buy a home sometimes wait years before making a move. Understandably so, because it's the largest buying decision that most people will have to make throughout their lifetime. No one in their right mind would just jump into something so big without giving it some considerable thought and analysis. However, for these same individuals their analysis turns into paralysis and inaction. Thereby causing more damage and harm than good. There is only one thing worse than making a bad decision; that's right, you guessed it, NO DECISION! No matter how you look at it, if you can afford to pay rent you can afford to own. I currently live in Orange County and a typical one bedroom apartment is going for about $1,100 per month. Now if you turn that into a mortgage payment amortized over 30 years at an interest rate of let's say 4.5%, you're looking at a loan amount of about $217,097.00. In today's economy, that could get you into a decent starter home. So while there is this window of opportunity, to get your hands on some decent Real Estate at an affordable price, don't think too long lest you get left behind. So to sum it up there are basically 3 main points to consider when looking for a home in today's market: 1) Location. Do you like the area? It is where you will live, not your friends, co-workers or relatives. The bottom line is if you and whoever is going to live there likes the area then the location is "qualified". 2) Size. Does it have the amount of bedrooms and bathrooms that you want? If so, than the size "qualifies". And 3) Can you afford it? Don't make an offer on a house that is out of your price range. You don't want to end up in foreclosure. Just be patient. You can always upgrade later. Remember, Rome wasn't built overnight. If you can afford the monthly payment, then the price "qualifies". If your prospective home meets these three guidelines, you may have just found yourself a home! If you are in the Orange County area give us a call at (714) 499-8601. We've been in business going on 10 years now and still going strong. Take action!

Good overall guide for new home buyers. I was wondering if you have more tips on new families thinking of getting a home. What factors, for examples, would 'balance' things out for them, or offset some possible setbacks. I'm open to new ways of seeing things.
