What are your 25 favorite movies of all time?
56Funny xmas game gives insight to people
During Christmas, my sisters came up with a game, where everyone compiled a list with their 25 favorite movies. I was amazed after completing my list, how many I had forgotten. This was not only fun, but really gave you an idea as to what people were about... In retrospect, I wish we had pared it own to 5,, (which is what I am going to do in my reader participation here). Many picks were generational, but many spanned from 90 year old people, to 10 year olds. I will give my list, the list of the 22 people at the party(25 most chosen, and then invite everyone to give their top 5, and see what the Hubbers like best.
Keep in mind, these are in no particular order.

I am very surprised by some of the movies being mentioned as favorites. what about Bob was far from Murray's best work. And for me Heat, has to be on the list.
i think i'd agree with goldentoad, lost in translation is a better Murray film. I don't know about Heat though. but then again, to each his own with movies :D
Hi Mike,
Last June my daughter and I went to see Jesus Christ Superstar at the Tampa Bay Playhouse - Ted Nealy was starring in the role (his last performance) - the crowd went wild but I really thought he should have hung it up long before then.
I think Ground Hog's Day should be added to the list as well as Blood Sport (a classic C rated movie - Van Dam at his non-acting best).
wow Chris..Forgot about Amadeus! good call...
Hi Mike,
My top 5 would be Braveheart, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Titanic, Amadeus, and Joy Ride. :)
All5 excellent choices Pam..Thanks
Forgot Heat, too! well atleast there is no love for Saturday Night Fever or Mars Attacks! lol
hey Mike, Saturday Night Fever may not be filmmaking at its best but you must agree that the music and the sights started the world disco dancing back in the day! LOL
I just watched To Kill A Mockingbird today, which is a great book by the way. Back when I was a teacher I enjoyed sharing this one with a summer school class, it has many good lessons about the depression, ending prejudice, and just growing up in the different time and place.
It's A Wondful Life, Gone With The Wind, Labarynth, Never Ending Story, Night At the Museum, Sybil, all the Star Trek movies (fave was Wrath of Khan), Fried Green Tomatoes, Mr. Magorium's Wonderful Emporium, Just Visiting, Mists of Avalon, Merlin, Narnia, The Princess Bride, Bell, Book and Candle, Wizard Of Oz, Tinman, Singing In The Rain, Momma Mia, .....that's all I can think of right now
Yeah, very true..hard to judge a movie that is so dated..kind of like "easy Rider" would be to a very young person... kind of need to be "in the moment"
I just rememberd another one tha I love---Shenandoah
Yeah good moveis! and sweetiepies comment about to kill a mocking bird , reminded me of another great movie..Cinderella Man
My top are: Good Will Hunting, Edward Scissorhands, Forrest Gump, It's a Wonderful Life, Dumb and Dumber, Jerry McGuire, The Count of Monte Cristo, and countless others. Great list you have there too!

I have to put Fatal Attraction on here Glenn Close was absolutely scary good In that one. Of course the Godfather was one of the single best American Movies ever made . And I love Annie Hall . I am surprised no one mentioned the Wizard of Oz.

From Sister: I think it might be good to do it another way and list your favorite drama, favorite comedy, favorite scary movie, favorite classic, favorite musical, favorite black and white, favorite romance, favorite tear-jerker, favorite animal or kid movie, favorite Christmas movie...etc. Another approach: list of ten WORST movies. I have mine started: Old Man & The Sea, Great Gatsby, They Shoot Horses Don't They?, Crying Game...
My top five: Citizen Kane, The Philadelphia Story (Hepburn/Grant/Stewart), The Princess Bride, Blazing Saddles, Dogma
