What are your views on gay marriage?
65My view
First of all, let me say this....I do not discriminate against anyone for any of thier beliefs and lifestyles. I have a very good friend, who is a lesbian, and she in fact has went to the doctor and was told that she did have more male hormones than female hormones. She tried to be with a man, but she said it made her feel sick, like she was being 'gay'. She is a wonderful, wonderful person and I love her to pieces, so please don't think I have anything against anyone and thier prefrences, but.....yes, I am going to say this....Leviticus 18:22 says, "You shall not lie with a male as a woman; it is an abomination" and vice versa. So, without getting into a religious battle, I can say this....The Bible is clear, and what you do on this life is not to be judged by me, it's to be judged my God. None of us on Earth know what your relationship with God is, or will be. If a person chooses to live a gay life and have a gay marriage, then that is thier choice. I will not tell them it is wrong...I will not throw scriptures at them and try to change them. The bottom line is, it IS wrong in God's eyes. In my eyes, I hope that whoever chooses this lifestyle, like my good friend has, that they and God can work things out when the time comes. I had said in one of my hubs recently that "you can't help who you fall in love with", and I do beleive that is true. We humans here can't judge eachother. We should treat everyone with kindness and love and acceptance, as God wants us to. We are not responsible for others actions. We only answer to God and we only answer for our own actions. Let's live in peace and harmony, and let God worry about the rest, like he wants us to. Everyone deserves happiness, and if you think someone is living wrong, remember, they have thier life actions to answer for, not you. My opinion on gay marriage is, no, it's not for ME. My opinion on others in a gay marriage is, it's not my business and we should let them be happy. Remember, everything I have put in this hub. It's not for us to judge.
Now, on the other hand, if someone wants me to talk to them about the subject and wants my views and wants to know what the Bible says, then, yes, I will definately tell them. But I am not going to stomp on them and belittle them and try to hurt them for thier prefrences. All I can do is say what I know and what I feel. Remember, it's also against God's wishes to judge people! Matthew 7:1 reads, "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgement you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use with will be measured to you." The Bible also reads that "no sin is greater than the next". So, in other words, the people choosing this lifestyle might be sinning, but your judging them too, is just as great a sin. Well, I could go on and on, but the point is, everyone one of us was made by God, and he gave us free will. What we do with it is our business, and our consequences are our own. Everyone be good to one another, no matter the differences we have between us. Hope this helps some. God bless!
