There are numerous ID badge holders on the market today. There are lanyards, badge reels, magnetic and pin and clip holders. All of these will hold ID badges in their proper place. The lanyard is great for ease and simplicity. It is worn around your neck, waist, arm or even wrist. They are quite popular and commonly used in hospitals, department stores and retail stores as well. The badge reel holder holds your ID on a retractable cord and allows you to pull it out for identification and then lets it retract back in its case to avoid wear and tear. The magnetic badge holders and the pin and clip badges are very common in fast food chains around the globe.

We know why badge holders are so important to our work place. We know there is a constant need for security and safety in the production environment. The process of being able to identify those in your domain is essential to this mission. Identification is not a new thing. It has been around for many, many years in some form or another. It has been an evolution of innovation. It has gone beyond the identification card itself and onward to ways of presenting and wearing that ID so that it is easy to see and verify. No company wants to allow an incident to take place in their work environment that could have been avoided through proper identification. The security and the safety of all employees and customers is just to important.

A newer holder on the scene is the credential file wallet holder. The name says it all. This holder is connected to a nylon cord that goes around your neck. It is kind of like wearing a miniature wallet around your neck. There is a protected pocket to place your ID badge and slots for your credit cards or money. There is even a slot for a few pens. We all know how hard it is to find a pen when you need one. The nylon cord is adjustable to 34". The credential file wallet holder is like a lanyard only with a few more options of storage. It is closed by a zipper and is a very nice looking product. If you want to present a positive and professional image in your work place this may be the way to go. It is slightly more expensive then some of the ID holders but it does offer a few more capabilities.

The credential file wallet holder will not be for everybody. Some will say that it still dangles like a lanyard and somehow manages to get in the way of production. Every business has to decide which ID badge holder best fits their environment. The credential holder is a catchy little product. It still allows you to show your identification efficiently and offer a few perks as well. This product offers options for both men and women. Women don't have to carry their purse everywhere they go at work and men don't have to carry a bulky wallet in their trousers if they don't want too.
