Life is beautiful
Living a beautiful life is simple if you don't stray from the basics. Think about what was important to you as a child and realize that you were so happy then.
Makes you wonder why you are not as happy now, doesn't it? Yes life does have a habit of changing and so do you. When things change for the better, you feel life is beautiful. When a tragedy occurs you feel life is testing.
The truth is that it is the ups and downs combined that make life beautiful. If you were never sad, how would you know when you are happy? So let's ask a simple question now - What makes you happy?
Think of the times that you have laughed and loved and felt life was beautiful. Where were you? Who was with you? What were you doing? Try and remember all the details that you can. Did you see the common thread that ran through your memories?
In most cases you were with people who you cared about. People who loved you back for who you are and not what you have. You were not earning money, but spreading good cheer. You were having fun doing what ever it was that you were doing. You were relaxed and happy.
So what you need to do, is to get the love and laughter back in first position in your life. Then life will be beautiful. I know it can be difficult when you are trying to earn a living and support a family.It is stressful and it needs to be done. Your family loves you for doing it as well.
Where is the time to just sit and have fun, when you have chores waiting for you all lined up? Yes the meals must be cooked, the clothes must be washed and the things put away in the right places. You family appreciates you for all the hard work you put in around the house.
But remember no one ever regretted not finishing a chore on their death bed. They all did regret not spending enough time with the family that they loved. So don't wait so long that there is no time left. Start now. Enjoy your life and your loving family today.

I am a strong believer in family time. We try at least once a month to spend time with someone in either my family or my husbands family. Yesturday we spent at the spray park, today fishing and tommorrow yard time with Nana and Papa. :)

I would heal that fracture tonight if it were up to me, but it's her choice now..I've tried several times. I can only account for my stuff in this, apolgize where I need to, forgive where I need to. Some things are out of my hands now.. I would tonight if I could. It hurts my dad something awful, and that's what hurts me most.
It can be difficult when you want to end a feud and the other party insists on fighting. All you can do is keep the offer open till they decide to take it up. Love and hope can work miracles.

O dear Cash you made me feel so nostalgic. To the poll I chose the fourth option. The last time I was with my family was about 8 months back but even then my younger bro was not around. So the complete family get together was more then a year a ago. Now that my bro is back home to Calcutta, India after completing his engg. I am here in Chennai, India bonded with job!

it has been awhile since we had a night out together with the whole family. i answered just yesterday because it was just yesterday. we missed being together and eating out together.

Paper pack, I know the feeling. We are gearing up for a family reunion in end June. My cousins sis is down from the states and the rest are all goingto get together in Pune. I am just waiting for the days to get by. My son will be meeting all his cousins for the second time. Life is so unfair. When we were kids we would meet every summer hols. Hope you have your family reunion soon.

Love this Hub. In these times, family is so scattered. It wasn't like the old days when you lived two or three houses down, or in the same neighborhood. Now people are thousands of miles apart. There is a lot to be said for that. Children growing up without knowing extended family. It is sad I think. Now people must make that extra effort to keep everyone close.
I agree Gwynn, I was far closer to my cousins than my kid is. We also grew up in different cities, but made it a point to spend summer holidays together.

This one was what I needed tonight, thank you Cashmere! I answered "don't remember" as it applies to my folks/sister. She and I are fractured at the moment, as we have been on and off all our lives. I do see my mom a lot, tho she and dad live a ways away. As it applies to my son, all the time. I can't remember the last time I've had a great laugh tho. Here, frequently, in person, not enuf.
