You may already know that sleep is a basic and primary need of the human being and without sleep you cannot function correctly and without proper sleep you can have health problems. There are a lot of conditions, that are named sleeping disorders that can affect sleep and because of that there are many side effects that could happen and they are not funny at all. We'll be talking more about them in the above hub, but now I want to talk more about hypersomnolence a the causes of it, because I guess you noticed it's abnormal to be so sleepy during the day.
Basicaly there are two main reasons for hypersomnolence. As you may know already, that I have been telling you above, hypersomnolence is a sleeping disorder, a pretty serious sleeping disorder because it's going to affect your life and the way you are working and having social relations. It's kinda hard to be sleepy all the day because the world we are living in it's so complicated and a rush and we don't have time to sleep during the day, sometimes we do not have time to sleep during the nights to.
Is hypersomnolence a big problem for people? Yes, it is. It is because it's going to affect you and mostly the people who tend to sleep all the time have some depression problems and so on and you have to know about that. Also, daytime hypersomnolence is not good because it can affect the way you are doing your daytime things. You may also have it's symptoms, like sleepiness, if you have a flu or some sort of pain and you have to see the doctor in order to give you the right treatment right away in order not to lose all your life sleeping and I guess you already know that.
I define hypersomnolence as a genetical problem or predespozition or it can also be idiopathic, that is meaning that no one known why it's that going on on you. There may be something simple, there may be depression or stress, or you may be just tired and so on. So, what's the basic unknown cause of this excessive sleeping problem? I have to say that one of the main causes is lack of sleep and sleep deprivation because most of the people tend not to sleep the minimum amount of hours per night and they sometime do sleep over the days and they do regret that in the future because of what are they doing.

As I have been telling idiopathic hypersomnolence is basicaly a condition that manifests with excessive daytime sleepiness, like hypersomnolence itself but the main point about this is that the cause is unknown, meaning that is not something genetical and you may have done something in order to produce it.
One of the main reasons, besides not sleeping to well during the nights as the recommended time for sleep is basicaly when you are recuperating after an infection or a surgical condition. You may know already than when having a flu or another problem the body tend to be sleepy because it has to remain good and not consume much to many energy that the flu is consuming already. There have also been signed cases of pathological hypersomnolence and most of them can also be noticed with depression because there are so many people that tend to sleep all the day in front of television and they think their life is just not to funny, you may remember one of your friends and something like that. Hypersomnolence with depression is a not funny thing and because of that you have to regain control of your body and do not let it control you because it's not funny after all. If the body is in your control and you are not having control over it then there are a lot of problems and excessive daytime sleepiness is your less problem about it.
Do not be wrong and think about it as a funny condition because it's not. I remember having a tooth problem and because of it I was sleepy all day and night. I've also been writing more about provigil depression, you may want to look on it. There may also be some condition that are similar with idiopathic hypersomnolence like narcalepsy, that I've been talking about. The main difference is that you are not falling alseep instantly, just very fast and you cannot control your grade of sleepiness during the day and you feel like sleeping all day long, altough you are not so tired and whatsoever.

As I have been telling you lately in this article, one of the things you can do in order to reduce idiopathic hypersomnolence is to reduce the problems that may cause it, like sleep deprivation and certain stuff I've been writing about. The basic thing is that most of the people rush and do not have the amount of time to sleep and because of that they do think their body is just going to forgive them, but this is not true. Your body is not going to forgive you at all and because of that you have to be in control and go to see a doctor if you suffer from excessive daytime sleepiness. Only a good diagnosis is going to find a cure for you, you cannot just read general impresions among the web pages on the web and think that you are going to find the correct answer for you because this is not true. As I have been telling to you the main point of this is that people are unique and something that's working on you it does not matter that's going to work on someone else, and some sort of pill that's working on someone else it does not have to work at yo and whatsoever. Stay away from misinformations and try to see the doctor for a correct treatment because you do not have to take the advice from someone else who is not a doctor and does not even know you.
So, if you have daytime hypersomnolence and you think it's more than about tiredness and some sort of small pain (you have to go to the doctor to be sure it's not going to grow up in a big pain), you have to understand yourself and do something you need to do, visit the doctor and be careful about it.
