What is RAD?
If you're already a Facebook user, you know there that are applications for everything: virtual pets, Yoville, Farm Town, Mafia Wars, zodiac signs.... the list is endless. So, what is RAD?
Derek Broes, former Microsoft executive, creator of social network Kazaa and former VP at Paramount,developed a product marketing application for use on social websites. RAD is an application that will premier on Facebook in July 2009 to launch the Efusjon Energy Drink to a large population with diverse geographic locations, age groups etc.
What is Efusjon?
Efusjon is a network marketing club with independent distributors who receive healthy, Acai Berry energy drinks. They can choose RAW, without caffeine, or EDGE, with caffeine. Two other choices from other anti-oxidant based healthy plants will launch soon.
How does RAD work to market Efusjon?
This application launched on July 22nd-- and had ONE MILLION HITS in its first hour, crashing 2 of Efusjon's servers! Exciting!!
People who are distributors for Efusjon, and members of Facebook, can download the application to their Facebook page. An invitation to play RAD can be launched to their friends, followed by an invitation to become part of the Efusjon Energy Club. The product is initially being marketed in the U.S., which has 9 million Facebook users, and will launch into Canada next,then continue around the globe to varied marketing segments.
The content of RAD will involve Efusjon Energy Drink characters fighting other energy drinks, like Red Bull and Monster. It will educate people who play the game about the healthy, anti-oxidant properties of Efusjon v. the sugar-laden, unhealthy ingredients in other energy drinks. It will also educate players about staying healthy and being prosperous.
