What is the best remedy for asthma? Are there herbal medicines for this kind of allergy?
55As an asthmatic I am firmly against any "herbal" remedy. Asthma is a serious medical condition and needs real medical treatment to control the triggers and to stop an attack. There are differnt types of asthma: onset from an allergin, exercise induced asthma, and others.
I'll be 36 years old next month. I had my first asthma attack, and was hospitalized, when I was in pre-school. Starting in pre-school and all through high school and into college I was taking medicine daily to control it (laugh). Alupent, Theo-Dure, Beclovant, Ventolin, Presnosone, etc.
To this day I do not leave the house without my "rescue" inhaler, Albuterol, and I take Flovent daily during the summer to control it. I know what seasons are bad for me, what activities will bring it on, what situations, and so on, but real medicine has saved my life countless times. See a professional!

I do believe herbal remedies help to relieve some of the severity of asthma, but would never suggest leaving off the 'orthodox' meds. And the magnesium supplement mentioned by michael does definitely make a good difference.
Best luck and wishes with your asthma!

I too have suffered with asthma all my life, and need inhalers to control this. However I found by taking a magnesium supplement 250mg per day, I have been able to reduce my inhaled drug.
