When people ask me what my pets are worth,the only answer I can come up with is priceless.

I have lost many pets through out my life time from one thing or another.

I have lost cats to horses.It isn't easy to have an animal put down for a disease or unrepairable limbs.The hardest part is bringing your pet home to bury it.Believe me,it depresses me for days.

My last three lost pets were due to cancer,heart attack and my cat ate a wire bread wrapper.

I have lost animals to broken legs,colic,mountain lions,poison,cars,cancer,heart attack,dog attacks and wire.

In some states you have to leave your pet for the veterinarian to dispose of it.In the state I live in you can take your animal home and bury it.

On the ranch I buried my animals with the backhoe.

When you loose a pet through the negligence of other people,some courts will reward you with compensation.

In one instance a person's chihuahua was shot by three drunks because it was barking.

The court rewarded the owner $30,000 for the drunks behavior,but still it does'nt bring that animal back to life.

In another state a persons sheep were killed by two neighbors dogs and the court awarded the sheep owner $1.These people held birthday parties for those sheep every year.

I had one of my dogs poisoned by an animal hater and nothing became of it.

I have observed drivers try to hit an animal walking down the road.

The animal rights movement is trying to get the courts to compensate people when their pet is maimed through the negligence of another person or their pet.

At present I have four dogs and my brother has 2 dogs living here.Needless to say I cannot let my dogs mingle with his because he didn't train his dogs to be friendly with people or other pet animals.

Yesterday I had to pull his dogs off of a little kitten or they would have killed it for sure.

Last month his dogs attacked my little chihauha  and would have killed him if I would not of been close by.

I have a chihuaha that got in a fight with my cowdog and I had to rush him to the vet.for an esophigous operation or he would have died.They got in a fight over a horse terd,believe it or not.

I have a coondog that the neihbor mistreated and left on a chain that wore a raw spot on his chest.Left without food and water for days.So I asked him if I could have the dog and he answered yes.

He is back to normal in ways but is afraid of guns,which makes him a home bound pet only.

I had a hounddog that I found in the county dump,starved,so I brought him home and kept him a couple years until a lion hunter wanted him for a lead dog,as he would always olay tricks on the lion hunters dogs by leading them off his hunting grounds then ditch them and return home.

That is what my dog's are worth to me,priceless..   

Well the fourth of July is over and I didn't loose any pets from fireworks going off.

But my neighbor lost his little dog and it didn't have a tag on it,so can't find it anywhere.

It only takes a few minutes to stop by Pet Smart and get a tag made,and you can rest in peace as people will call you when they find your dog or cat.

Pet owners should check their dog's collars and make sure the license is up to date .

 Fire works and pets don't mix,as you will see,by going to the S.P.C.A. next week to find your pet if it is not properly licensed with your phone number attached to the collar. So enjoy the Fourth of July fireworks without worry,by tagging your pets.

 I like using automatic pet feeders,because when you are busy with a project you can't be bothered every day with pet feeding.

The dog's and cat's can eat at their leisure and will sustain a more possitive body weight if you feed them 24 hours a day instead of three or four.Once they get full they have a tendency to eat less throughout the day keeping a balanced weight on them.

Wild game feeders benefit from the use of automatic feeders also,as most four legged creatures will eat at night,and the bird population will eat in the day time,this creating a balanced way to keep all game animals and birds happy.

Feeders come in 120 volt or battery packs and are easy to install.

Some are gravity fed also,as the animal eats the feeder replenishes the feed bin.  

Remember not leave your pet in a car during the summer time,not even for a minute.

Dogs only perspire through their pads in the feet and tongues.It gets up to 120 degrees in a car and only in minutes.

You should have a drink bowl for your pet filled with water or ice cubes while traveling also.

Don't forget that a dog has to be tied on a leash in an open pickup truck while transporting.

Also a dog should ride in the back seat while being transported due to sudden stops or your dog wanting to bark at others.

The safest way to transport a dog is with a barrier,so they can't interfere with your driving.

They also make booster seats for small animals,for restarint. 

The taco bell dog died today at the age of fifteen years old.

Her name was Gidget.

She charmed people from around the world with her face and didn't say a word in doing so.

She made the Taco a famous food around the world also.

She will be missed by many

She died of heart problems.
