What makes a good ps3 game ?

Most of my life I have been a gamer, you name the console I have played on most of them from the old commodore 64 to the Sega mega drive to now xbox 360 to PlayStation 3 so I know about games and what I like, to me what makes a good game is the ps3. We all know ps3 games are expensive and if your not careful you can waste your money on a game that cost $100 plus only to find that the game is crap one of the best ways to find if the game is good is to actually hire the game play it and if you like it buy it also there hundreds of web sites that have thousands of reviews on games and now you tube have videos reviews where you can see the game in action and hear peoples comments. We are lucky because most of the PlayStation games are pretty good with a few expectations and don't forget we can't all agree what makes a good PlayStation game everyone's tastes are different .

But before we get ahead of ourselves what makes a good ps3 game of course people have different tastes action, driving. adventure, sports, fist play shooter my favourite. Technology has come along way in games and are so incredibly realistic now. So look for a game that looks good on my plasma TV one of the best looking and games I have come across was uncharted Drakes fortunes every detail of the games was amazing everything looks real plus the action was everything you what in a game treasure hunting, shooting-and fighting, driving etc Game play is very important if you get bored in the first ten minutes playing then maybe this game is not for you also if to hard to play nothing can be more frustrating than playing a game that is too hard to control and in the end you throw the controller out the window (loLOL not for real) but if you can get a game that brings you into the action first thing and keeps you there and the only way you get away from the game is when your wife, mother or girlfriend turns off the console because that's the only way they can get your attention (make sure you save it before that happens ) .

Also how long the game goes for I play games that I played and finished in a day and I found myself saying well is that it but I found most games can be played for days my tip is read the reviews and ask about the game on the net, we have heaps of game forums you can join and you will soon learn the best PlayStation game you can get. Extras after the game like when you finished the game you can play bonus extra levels or games have easy normal or extra hard levels which is great fun these are all important also mall PlayStation 3 games have multi player and go on line to play and some games have co-op which is great to play with a friend my son and I play that a lot. With so many games now for the PlayStation 3 it can be quite daunting in finding a good game but remember you are not alone we are lucky the net can help find the best games that you can enjoy on the PlayStation 3 because the PlayStation 3 is fantastic for game play has given my son and his friends and myself many hours of joy.

No game this year comes even close to the stunning graphics, art direction, sound effects, and music that graces this game, and given competition from games like Halo 3 that's saying a lot.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is more that good looks, however, the story is engaging, the writing is clever and witty, at times hilarious, and the voice acting is second to none. Uncharted doesn't come close to being a movie, it proves that videogames are their own art form equal to them. This is one action adventure game you simply cannot miss.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas is an enjoyable tactical shooter with varied levels and an excellent mulitplayer mode, which keeps on bringing you back for more.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma

If you haven't attempted to do so before, this is the best way to play one of the best, most brutal action games ever made.

FIFA Soccer 08

The first FIFA for the PS3 is an impressive debut, and while it can be difficult at times, it's a polished and highly playable game.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Shooter of the Year

Call of Duty was synonymous with WWII based shooters, but not not anymore. With Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare gone are the trenches of continental Europe, only to be replaced with Russian farmhouses and Middle Eastern cities.

With stunning graphics and a varied story, CoD4 is a solid game, but it is the multiplayer that really makes this title stand out.

From excellent maps and a variety of weapons to unlockable content, this is the game you want to go online with and live out your armchair soldier fantasies.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction - Platformer of the Year

Another one of the best looking games of the year Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction brings run and gun platforming to a whole new level with inspired level design and laugh out loud antics.

Ratchet & Clank Future is a very clever game that will have you torn between exploring every nook and cranny of its lush landscape and running through it as fast as you can to find out what happens next, either way you won't be disappointed. Though rated teen, the humor and action is benign, I would have given it an E10+ as tweeners are as likely as any to fall in love with this cute, yet satisfying platformer.

Heavenly Sword

Heavenly Sword feels like a summer action flick. It's full of nonstop action, and it looks terrific. Unfortunately, it's over far too quickly.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Role Playing Game of the Year

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a multiplatform game, meaning you can buy it on other systems as well as the PS3. But the PS3 version of the game is the most recent and includes an additional race, the Knights of the Nine, which is a nice trade-off for having had to wait for the game.

The Elder Scrolls IV: is similar to previous entries in the series. It's wide open gameplay features countless opportunities to make your own fun, but should you decide to stick to the story, and explore all the side missions, you are looking at 200 hours of game time. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a massive romp through a fantasy world filled with adventure. It is an epic game not to be missed.

MotorStorm

Motorstorm's rampageous brand of racing is a great deal of fun -- it's just a pity there aren't more ways to experience it.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2

GRAW2 offers up a better, though shorter, single-player game than its predecessor. But the bulk of its gameplay can be found in its impressive multiplayer game.

While some complained that the game got repetitive, deciding to take on the side missions should provide variety enough. Assassin's Creed takes the Thief game concept and executes it perfectly.
