What the World Could Be Like in the Future
70What the world will be like in 100 years? That's a very good and tough question to answer. It is really hard to say what we will be seeing on this world. But there are some good guesses like technology improving for instance. We as a whole are moving closer and closer to having a society of technology based jobs, as that will become a major hit.
Speaking of jobs, I had written up a piece on another site in regards to answering this important question of what do I see in the future. Though it will be 100 years in this case, however this will become a trend in the future. If you wish to look at it, follow the link right here: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/802753/a_new_trend_regular_work_at_home_jobs.html?cat=31. The purpose wasn't to show it off but to give an idea on jobs in the future and a reference.
As far as cars themselves, there are going to be other sources developed instead of just relying on oil only. I can see possibly something like Electric Cars being more available and potentially solar powered cars where battery life will run when the sky isn't sunny out and it's a rainy day or no sunlight out of course. That is going to have to be perfected but what happens when it runs out? No problem as developments are made for recharging purposes much like a rechargeable battery.
As for space travel itself, efforts will probably be made that we could see others living on other planets instead of just living on Earth. Hypothetical example is something like The Moon or Mars for example being able to sustain life. How can that be done is through the research and it being perfected. In fact, I could see more space travel and trying to go into other planets maybe beyond our solar system to see if life can be sustained on other worlds. With the world population growing, it could become a measure but not a guarantee that it would be successful.
There is also the possibility that we will never carry cash on our hands and everything will be handled in the form of a debit card on a consistent basis. Perhaps something like the dollar bill will become a rarity for people to pay out of cash and that is possible. Stores are accepting those and the same like credit cards but they are tied to your bank account.
It is really hard to say what the world will be like in 100 years. It is rather unpredictable and yet a mystery. Hopefully by then, food prices will come down a bit and jobs could become more available in the near future even if it means working at home only. I highly doubt that because of restaurants being involved and some people may want to eat out of the house and that's not a bad thing. For all we know, the world could become like The Jetsons in the near future where there are flying cars and robots being used more often to complete certain tasks.
I would like to think that maybe things will be better and most problems will be resolved from the past. There will always be something new as a challenge to try to correct. In time, it will be corrected. Nothing will ever be perfect but I believe all the problems plaguing this world at this very moment will probably be fixed in time. There is no quick fix for that.
This was actually a very hard question to answer because there's really no right or wrong one for sure. It's all pure speculation at the end of the day. I hope you enjoyed this point of view of what the world could be like in 100 years.

Thank you, Bruce. I did very much enjoy learning about your point of view.I made the question difficult to answer deliberately. I think it's really rewarding to exchange ideas about something that doesn't have any particular "correct" answer.
Good work - Keep it up!
