Don't panic! Every first date strikes our nerves like a ton of bricks! The last thing you should worry about is your attire. TheHotSpotGuide.com wants you looking your finest so here are some quick tips for looking great:
Dress Appropriately - If you're just going to the movies a pair of jeans and a t-shirt is fine. Ladies you can wear a casual dress or skirt to the movies as well. Now if you're planning on going to an up-scale restaurant dress somewhat upscale. Men a jacket (blazer) is a must, a button down shirt is best but jeans are a no no wear pants that compliment your jacket. Ladies you have many options, I know it must be very hard but here are some suggestions. A dress or gown would be suitable for a high class restaurant, a pair of slacks and a dinner jacket with a dressy top and heels are a must! Men like nothing more than a woman in a pair of heels. Or you can even wear a nice skirt with a matching shirt.
Dress Accordingly - I cannot stress this enough. It is very important that you dress appropriately, you don't have a second chance in making your first impression. Ladies if it's cold outside do NOT show up wearing a mini skirt. Yes they are cute but it's not cute having to share my jacket and freeze because you decided you wanted to look sexy. You can always dress sexy and appropriately. If you're somewhat self conscious about your weight and you normally wear very baggy clothes now is the time to go shopping and buy your size in shirts and pants. You can go to a seamstress and they will glady take your measurements. The point I am getting to is when you wear the right size clothes you look stunning. The clothes will shape your body to your advantage.
Dress Comfortably - Nothing is more painful than being nervous in tight fitting clothes. The more comfortable you feel the more comfortable you will be in general. Men, if that dinner coat shrunk in the past year it would be wise to purchase another one, you'll feel a lot better about yourself. Ladies if you bought a new pair of shoes and plan on wearing them for your date break them in first. We don't want you limping during your date. :)
