Most of you must be knowing that Hubpages is all about writing, publishing and earning money through Affiliate Programs such as Google Adsense, Amazon, ebay and Kontera (More to be added). I recently published a Hub on How I earn $500-$600 per month from work from home jobs.

There are people here at Hubpages who write on one particular topic and there are people who write on all kinds of topics. But the question here is what is the best way to write here on Hubpages for more money and traffic.

Let me begin with my own story. I joined Hubpages some 10 months back following a link on a classified ad which said "I earn $500 per month on Hubpages. Join now and earn money". I am stilling for that person who made me sign-up Hubpages. Anyway, I am glad that I found this place to write, publish and earn some extra money. I started publishing hubs on all kinds of topics including: celebrities, recipe, career, job, employment, work from home etc. What I noticed is that despite publishing over 100 Hubs, my income from Hubpages was almost negligible. Damn!!

Then I realized that the right way to write and earn here at Hubpages was NOT to publish just anything. If publishing just anything here at Hubpages would make money for you then even Tom and Jerry would have joined.

Few months back I started another Profile at Hubpages (and I signed using my own Referral so that I earn extra 10%). This time I choose only one single topic. I choose a topic that I am truly Expert in and have good knowledge. I have published some 30 Hubs under another profile and have several fans despite the fact that I have NOT joined any Hubber as a Fan. Not only that, My Author Score for the other profile is always above 95 and get some Terrific Organic Traffic from search engines. My chick-through rate has increased and my Google Adsense income has surprisingly increased by almost 250% from Hubpages. I am Loving that! Now I am concentrating more on my other profile than this one.

So, my advice to all the new Hubber would be to find out your own Niche Topic and stick to it. Write and publish 100% original and useful article. If you stick to one single topic, you can also link all your hubs to one another in some way or the other so that readers spend more time at your profile.
