What would you do if you did not have a mortgage, and actually owned your home?
53What would I do if I did not have a mortgage? My first priority would be to work on paying off the rest of my debt. This way my family and I would become completely debt free.
I would also put away money for a college fund(or trust fund) for my stepson and my daughter. This would reduce some (or all in the case of my daughter) of the financial burden of financing an education for them. I would probably spend more on my children after becoming completely debt free.
I would also give more to charities. I would be in a blessed situation and the right thing would be to give something back. I would also put some money away so we could continue to live debt free.
Being debt free is financial freedom. Living humbly to maintain that level of financial freedom would be the responsible thing to do.

I completely agree with your point that living humbly would be the most responsible thing to do. There is nothing as stressful and aging as debt (as my husband and I have found out). Good answers!
