What Is In Your Pet Food?

Have you read the label on your dog or cat food?

You should learn to read the label and understand what you are feeding your pets.

What NOT to Feed Your Pet

  1. Corn
  2. Wheat
  3. Soy
  4. By-Products
  5. Meat
  6. Gluten
  7. Meat and Bone Meal
  8. Animal Digest

The problem with not knowing how to read a pet food label goes much deeper than you may ever realize. These pet food companies are praying we, the consumers of their products, never learn to read the labels. The pet food companies and the people selling the pet food don't want us to realize their products aren't good for our pets.

Let's take a look at a recent Class Action Lawsuit, which I have joined.

This is the first time anyone has named Purina Pet Foods in any Class Action since the Pet Food Recall began in March 2007. Purina isn't the only company named in the Class Action but I am going to use them as an example.

What the label doesn't tell you, no matter how well you learn to read the labels, is their products contain:

  • Garbage
  • Chemicals
  • Additives
  • Diseased Meat
  • Residual Pentobarbital (from euthanized animals)
  • Inedible Slaughterhouse Waste
  • Spines
  • Heads
  • Tails
  • Hooves
  • Hair
  • Blood
  • Euthanized Cats
  • Euthanized Dogs
  • Road Kill
  • Zoo Animals
  • Rancid Restaurant Grease
  • Toxic Chemicals and Additives
  • Dead Animals unfit for human consumption due to disease and Illness

I've added a few pictures of By-Products so when you are looking over your pet food ingredients you will be able to remember to stay away from By-Products.

There are many more important items which you don't want included in your pet food but for today we are going to keep the lesson simple.

No Corn, Wheat, Soy, or By-Products!

To my readers:

Dogfeast has great information about products you will probably be interested in. I don't think this dump truck backed up to the doors of the pet food companies Dogfeast is supporting! It is well worth your time to see what he has done.

In addition, Dogfeast is pretty creative, too! Go see some of his work.
