60Movie Theaters Pet Peeves
So I look forward to see this really awesome movie filled with blood, action, cussing, sex (or close to it) and lots of rated R action. I always wait a couple of weeks so I know it won't be crowded. I buy my ticket. I grab some popcorn (lots of butter), some goobers, and a pop! I find my seat, the back row in the middle. I always arrive early and chat with my husband. I am ready for a wonderful movie expierience! Five minutes before the show, a teenage girl (about 16) sitting in the front is chatting loudly on her cell phone. This is on it's own a little iritating, but do able.. the show hasn't started yet. Two minutes to show time, a man and woman enter with thier kids (all under 5). I start to get more iritated. The kids are running up and down the stairs. My skin is crawling, but I am hoping they settle in before the show starts. Previews start. A man enters the theatre and sits right next to us even though there are plenty of seats and begins coughing loudly. The kids are still running up the stairs. It seems they are getting louder becuase there is previews on the screen. The parents start to yell for them to sit down. They do. The teenager in the front row is still stopped talking, but her cell phone starts to ring even though there was just a message on the big screen about turning them off or on silent.
Yummy
What else could go wrong?
My blood pressure slowly drops as the movie starts and everyone seems to be keeping silent. I start to get immersed into the story line and action, when the man next to us starts to cough loudly.. every five minutes. I start to think he is choking. I look over to him in the faint room and see that he wasn't choking. He looks at me and glares. I look back at the movie. The teenager's phone in the front starts to ring again. I look at her.. she slumps in her chair and starts to talk. The man next to me starts to yell at the teenager. The teenager looks back at the man and shuts her phone. The man starts to cough again. The kids must have heard all that racket and decided it was now ok to talk loudly. Then cry.. Then scream. Then kids run down the stairs screaming. The teenager in front grabs one of them and starts yelling at the child. The parents sees this happen, go down to the front of the theatre and yells at the teenager for yelling at thier kids. The man starts coughing again. I start to bitch to my husband. Another movie spoiled. I have tried to keep watching the movie, but I can't any more. I am so angry at them all! Why couldn't they leave? If you cough, cover your mouth. If you have your phone, turn it OFF.. If you bring kids, take them to a rated G or PG movie! Better yet, get a babysitter and leave them at home! I am so tired of not having a great movie expierence becuase people don't know how to be quiet! Shut the hell up!

OMG....I completely agree with you! It never fails that when I go, a cell phone talker always sits near me.
I so agree. This HUB is an ad for Netflix! This is exactly why I don't go to the movies anymore. I prefer to stay at home, and I don't mind waiting 'til my flick comes out on dvd or cable.
