One of the most perplexing problems for todays parents is what should I say to my children about drugs.

It's a difficult problem for many parents for the following reasons:-

Parents may be relatively ignorant of the subject, in fact most children probably have more knowledge on the subject than there parents.

The time that you need to talk to your children about drugs is when they are at there least receptive ie., there teenage years.

I was impressed with what a friend of mine did. She sat down with her teenage kids and advised them on the effects of the different recreational drugs and put them on a scale depending on harmfulness and addictiveness. Dont forget the most harmful ones tobacco and alcohol.

She then advised them that they were becoming adults and what drugs they may choose to use and how far up the scale they went would have to be their decision because she couldn't be there all the time to watch over them.

You have to research drugs at your library before you do this and don't forget the most important point. "You Don't NEED To Take Any Of Them".
