Not Good News Buick :(

According to the AP Press: In October 2007 GMC (makers of Buick) sold over 300,000 Automobiles....well fast forward to last month and GMC sales have dropped 45%....ouch! Buick, Chevy, Cadillac, and Hummer all showed declines in the recent weeks. Chalk it up to a bad U.S. Economy or the recession......but the underlying fact remains; American Consumers are a shrinking bunch. And the GM stock which was once at $36 last November has plummeted all the way down to $5.65! Double Ouch!

So what can Car makers like Buick do? Well Get Tiger Woods Involved of Course!

Tee-Off with Tiger is a smart marketing ploy by GM/Buick to promote their brand. All you have to do is guess what Tiger's score will be after each of the 4 rounds of golf at the Buick Open. Closest to predicting the score will win a trip to La Jolla. Sounds like fun....ok 71, 73, 68, 66.....did I win?

Buick Looks International Since the U.S. Economy Sucks

Yes we are in a recession....and yes we can't afford nice Buick luxury cars. According to motor Authority, China has become the single largest market for the Buick brand.

Past models like the La Crosse, Lucerne, and Riviera are a dying breed. Buick is making way for new models to hit the market in order to target their Chinese customers. And those models will make their way to the US shores. Well sounds good to me since what they are doing now obviously isn't working.

2009 Buick Enclave to the Rescue!

It seems the only bright spot for Buick right now is the 2009 Enclave. Billed as a cross-over SUV, this auto not only gets a 288hp V-6 engine, but it also has seating for eight. Combine these factors with 25mpg highway and we have a good looking prospect on our hands.

This is a great question. I was wondering about this the other day when I saw a Buick just like my mom's old one. It was an ok car, and actually it's my brother's now... he really wants to sell it and get a new one :)
