Have you ever asked someone a similar question? Well, I might need a little more information than that but I am pretty good at identifying movies. Lord knows I've seen my share of them and then some.
I am a Movie Geek!
With a library of at least a thousand movies and an incessant urge to perpetually expand my collection to infinite proportions, I am a certified movie geek!
So be my guest, utilize my useless knowledge and ask away. If I do not know the answer off the top of my head I will do my best to find the answer for you (or someone else might beat me to it by answering in the comments section).

There are lots of ways to search on IMDb. You can search by title, actor, plots and keywords. The latter two are the best ways to search if you have that pesky unknown movie in your head. It may take some time and patience but you will find your movie most of the time using these search tools on IMDb.

Rebekah i think you are talking about life-size. its one of my favorites! The little girl brings a doll to life with a spell (the girl is Lindsay Lohan and the doll is Tyra Banks). Her father is falling in love with her and the daughter tells him shes a doll and he doesnt believe her at first. is it that one?
I need some help. I can't remember a lot about this movie, all i can remember is it is about a mannequin that comes to life ( This movie is NOT mannequin or mannequin 2 ) It has something to do with a single father with a young daughter and the daughter knows this mannequin comes to life and tries to tell her father but he does not believe her, eventually in the end I think he does believe her and falls in love with the mannequin. I think its a 90's movie.

That scene you are talking about is weird because it really has absolutely nothing to do with the main storyline, nor does it even propel or assist the main plot. It's like a completely separate little story in this action movie. Vera Farmiga plays the main character's wife.
I need to know the title of two completely different movies i know very little about both movies so i understand it may be tricky. The only thing i remember from one movie is a bad guy that can only be described as a robot spider head thing. I thought it was the Goonies so it must be a movie like that. The other is where, for the last fight (finale) in the movie, the main character shoots his gun in the air and i bit a ceiling falls, hits him on the head and knocks him out. So, i been trying to figure out the name of a movie i saw a few years back. I hardly remember any parts but i know i loved it, lol. It starts out with a Dad and daughter finding a boy around the same age as the girl and they take him in. The boy falls in love with the girl pretty much since he saw her and they grow up but i think she doesnt really feel the same way. I remember this part the most and it's when they're grown up already and he plays his guitar and sings her a song. I think it takes place in an isolated area because i remember a light house and they play there when they're kids. Gosh, i hate that i can't remember much about the movie.
PLEASE HELP! I can see a scene of this movie in perfect detail but I, (nor my friends) can identify it. I also swear that it's a cameo by Vera Farmiga (fairly recent movie) The scene: A woman, who is looking for a kidnapped child, happens upon a couple in their apartment. The woman is in pants suit, and she is trying to get a girl of about 5 to behave and put on a costume. You get the feeling something is wrong because the entire apartment looks like the set of a children's movie. The woman pushes her way the house with a gun. There is a set with a video camera. The bright lighting and cheerful set intensify the creepiness. There are kids costumes in a closet and she pushes them aside. There are rows of DVD's, each wit a (deceased) child's name. She then looks in the adjoining closet and there are industrial bottles of solvent. The woman breaks down and says "OK, we're sick." The husband protests. The woman who enters stares at both of them, calls 911 and says "I've just heard shots from apartment...." then she shoots the couple. WHAT MOVIE IS THIS??

The movie I am looking for was some strange skinamax flick I saw in the 90s.
The plot involved some girl who was invited to complete in some rich old man's sex challenge in France I think. The challenge was to kill him with sex and the winner gets all his money. But she doesn't get to try it right off the bat. She must learn a series of skills with the other girls in the challenge, among them being learning to wear a strange leather bustier with some kind of custom fitting system. Learning a series of poses the she must perform on a rotating platform by name, and finally getting her neithers shaved by soaking them in chlorophyll and have them eaten off by locusts. She does succeed in killing him by using a drugged lipstick that she got earlier, that is supposed to help excitement & pleasure but is too strong for older people.
However one of the other girls knocks her out and takes her place at the bank to get the money only to find the old guy rigged it with a bomb to kill his murderer. Last Laugh.
In the end she goes off with her boyfriend, who blind at this point to find some doctor that might help his eyes.
A very strange plot still very tame.
Any Ideas. The plot seems too complicated to get a hit on imdb or google without hitting too many other films with a simplified search.
Ugh! I've been thinking about this for a while, and I can't figure out what movie it is.
I can remember a guy getting shot out of a cannon and into some building and sometime later he ends up in the home of a queen who is a giant and is able to take off her head. The queen's floating head guides the man and his group to safety while evading her sleeping husband. I'm pretty sure there was some space involved. There's also a pirate ship..and there is also a little girl in a wrecked theater trying to tell this man's unbelievable story. The actor looks like Steve Martin, but it's not.

I can't think of the name of this movie that I'm looking for. It's a movie about a guy that used to be part of the mob and left that life to have a family. The past catches up with him when he's in a diner and a guy comes in starting probs. The guy pulls a gun and the guy that used to be in the mob ends up killing him. He's on the news and the mob sees him (by the way, just thought that the guy's brother was now the leader of this certain part of the mob now). I don't know if that helps. lol PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

I remember a movie from the 80's. I believe it was about a guy teen/young 20's who made a deal with the devil or demon to get a girl or become popular? I’m looking for a video i watched when i was 10.it was about a kid in village (most likely viking) who is pressured by his family to be more like a warrior. he befriends another kid brought to the village as a slave. Can anybody tell me what this movie is?
Notable scenes; he is carving something with an old man and is told "thats not what a knife is for"; the slave is sneaking out of the village at dawn and he sounds the alarm, then when the adults are beating him he refuses to and runs; he falls in a river and the slave saves him; and, i think, at the end he throws a sword off a cliff.

still looking for the movie with two modern cowboy guys riding motorbikes, there was a scene where they were counting bullets somewhere in an airport or small airfield, there were small airplanes. Also, there was a scene with a strip club or bar with a half-naked girl on a motorbike, and another scene in the beginning of the movie where a radio or tv was talking about 4th of July and fireworks.

ok. there's this russian movie that takes place in a hotel for musicians on christmas. The movie is a hybrid animated-film type where the animated portion often crosses into the real world, and the colors are ridiculously vibrant.
it is a very musical movie featuring big hits from the time period time, some of which are in english.
Need to find a movie that was made probably in the early 90s featuring a machine that killed people, basically. On the VHS cover I remember a metallic claw or mechanical hand. I remember a scene where a guy gets killed by something falling down a long shaft and landing on him. If I remember correctly the machine had a "mouth" that reminded me of the bucket or scoop on an excavator. It took place mostly within a large building or factory. Please help!

I've seen this movie about 5 years ago but it was an older movie though. It was about this guy whose parents kept him isolated from the outside because of some reason. But then finally he goes out and starts discovering out things and stuff. I'm trying to remember what the guy looked like. I'm wanting to say like Brendan Fraser.

A comedy made in the late 80's, or early nineties.
It's about 1 or 2 guys having to (deal/get money from/claim themselves as heir) of a Queen, and there's her personal-guard-figure who tries to stop them getting close to her/believe their story.
Remembered scene:
One of the main guys is in the Queen's bedroom because he was either running away from the personal-guard/or looking for something, and when she walks in with the guard, main guy instantly her sits in front of her dresser/mirror and combs his hair while counting loud '101, 102' as to have been combing for a while. Shocked Queen asks what is he doing, he replies to have missed her, hence sat there to remember her, which she takes as a compliment and believes him, leaving the guard in disbelief.
The introduction of the movie is animated version of the guard chasing the two main characters. There's a second where they're playing cat mouse in the animation at night from a sidewalk view looking upon a building, where they're going through different levels of the building. Then one of them appears from a opened manhole from below which is lifted leaving only his eyes visible.
That's all I got. Saw this as a young child. Would love to see it again.

Here's a tough one. I have tried for hours to figure this one out, but I just can't. What's this movie?
It's about this guy, his guy friend, and his girlfriend and they somehow get their hands on this telephone device that allows them to call people back in time by so many hours. Apparently you cannot use it to call yourself back in time because it would cause a paradox and unknown results. So instead they have guy #1 (present) call guy #2 (past) and tells him stuff. They use it to somehow get a bunch of money. It soon turns out that the people they took the phone from (government I think) are mad and agents are trying to kill them to get the device back because misuse of it could have dire consquences. There's lots of chasing and shooting and a time or two they get in trouble they use the device to avoid the trouble subsequently. I won't tell the end.
What is this movie? I liked it a lot, but cannot find out what it is. It felt kinda like an Indie movie, but it was in a Hollywood video store.

OK, so I've wanted to watch this movie since it came out a while back but keep forgetting the title. It's about this guy who is dying/dead? and the only one who can hear/see him is his girlfriend and together they try to figure out where his body is so she can save him. (at least i think thats what its about!)
The movie has sequences in a lecture hall on campus where gradually each time you see the setting more of the students have been replaced with audio recorders, laptops etc to the point where the lecturer arrives to an empty hall full of machinery. What's that movie?
Ok i think this was a made for TV movie that used to be on when i was little (like early 90's) and ive been trying to find it for years. it was a suspense/scary movie about a creepy guy (who i think was a killer) who lived with rats and he was the author of a childrens book about a rat i think the book was called Starling and his brothers or something like that. the only scene i remember besides him talking to the rats was a little blind girl in a hospital told her mom a nice guy left her a book and it was the Starling book and the mom started screaming.
i thought the movie was the older version of Willard, but that was not it. Please help me if you can! :-p

When I saw the previews for 40 year old virgin it reminded me of this trailer I saw when I was younger but could not remember the name of the movie.

The movie im stuck on starts with a mother and daughter they go to like a school play at night, the daughter is dressed as a fairy and after the play the daughter goes missing. A search starts and the daughter is found dead in a lake. The movie goes on to the mother seeing things that end up coming true, turns out she has some sort of link with the killers mind, i think the killers believes he is ment to be with this women.
I've been trying to figure out what movie this movie is with no luck. I think it's about a couple who move into a home and they don't realize there are cats living in the basement and/or around the property. One of the cats is dominate and goes to the bathroom everywhere and leaves dead animals around the house and stuff. That's all i really remember about it. Help!!! Please, it's driving me crazy. This is half assed explanation to say the least, but I'm looking for a movie that was made around the 80's. It's about a boy and a girl. The boy is seen as an outcast and weird and the girl is more conventional or socially accepted. The boy has the power of flight as long as he truly believes he can. The climax of the movie, I believe, is where he does fly off the roof of a multiple story house....possibly with the girl.
