Marketing at Work on the Net

Attraction marketing. Network marketing. Social marketing, Web 2.0.

Do these terms mean anything to you or do they sound like a foreign language?

Attraction Marketing

Could it be the art of creatively sharing information in such a way that it pulls, draws or magnetises people to you?

Not because of any trick marketing on your part but simply because there are some people who are looking for that information.

What’s the Opposite?

Marketing that repels.

Have you ever tried to put two magnetised like poles together? What happens?

You just can’t do it because they repel each other.

Have you ever sensed that electrical charge that forces someone away from you when you’re trying to tell them about something they need but don’t want to know about?

So put Attraction Marketing to Work.

Learn how to attract people and not drive them away.

I spent thousands, learning how to attract those who were already open to my business.

Great skills to have.

BUT as a homemaker and a home educator it was obvious there was something missing.

Opportunities to be out and about mixing with lots of people were rare. No time to be a gad about.

But I learned to listen, ask questions and sense when someone would be open or closed to a solution to their problem.

These are great skills to have, but needed at a different time in the attraction process. Not as a way to “pitch my deal.”

I looked for ways to advertise.

To find people who are already saying, “sell to me!” I want what you’ve got.

Phew! The cost was out of reach.

And I didn’t have the copywriting skills to make my ads pull anyway!

I knew I had to market what I have to offer.

I knew that was the key. Common sense really..

But how? When I couldn’t pay for ads in places where ads would stand a chance.

I needed to understand the art of True Net Work Marketing.

Then, along came someone who could translate this specific biz language for me.

Marketing by giving valuable information.

That’s where the work is. Working to share your knowledge and expertise freely.

And since it’s knowledge you already have and enjoy learning more about, then the work becomes a pleasure. In fact, isn’t it true that the more you enjoy doing something, the less you call it work?

Perhaps you’re like me and adding the net part to network marketing is where the real challenge has been.

But that’s changing.

Because I’ve found a couple of excellent interpreters.

They put this “business speak” into my lingo.

So now I’m speaking this new biz dialect. Comfortably, without stress.

Balancing Home ‘n Biz. On the net.

Sure, I’m a NetWork Marketer. Putting the Net to Work and Marketing in a way that’s fun, simple and easy, once you learn the art of this language.

Are you trying to blend home and business?

Trying to build a better budget? Trying to be there for your kids?

New language - you're so right. My French with Rosetta Stone, only improves with practice and it shows no mercy if my accent is 'off'! Same with this new biz language. I look forward to catching more tips from you as I read more of your hubs.

Great Hub, and you are right it's all about how you blend everything together. Two months ago, never heard one of these terms, today, it's engrained in everything I do. Thanks for the info, look forward to many more.

Mike, thanks.  We're sure learning heaps aren't we..  You may appreciate learning another term - it's outlined in "Fling Your Message Out"  on my blog.  http://www.networkmarketingtradetools.com    Still tons of helpful, eyeopening stuff to learn that'll become ingrained yet!  All the best to you.

Excellent hub, I think I have tried every marketing concept out there. This is excellent advice!! I agree, networking with others can certainly be a big plus.

I get most of my referrals from the free organic traffic I generate on social websites and Google's front page. Since all my articles appear on Google you can imagine the traffic and all the emails I receive.

"That’s where the work is. Working to share your knowledge and expertise freely." This point is excellent!!!!

When I help others, I have found that I retain 90% of my business!
