My Top 5 Picks

The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron
- brings out my creative spirit, which is extremely helpful as I am an artist.

Peace Is The Way by Deepak Chopra
- The author brings clarity to how we must struggle to bring peace to our own lives before we are to bring peace to the world. He dissects different issues facing the world and how we could all let the war end-today.

The Homework Myth by Alfie Kohn
- (Ha!! I knew homework was evil!! LOL.) Backed up by thorough research, studies, science, and surveys,  Alfie Kohn's brilliantly exposes the irony and self-contradiction of the current education system- and discusses what it really means to educate and be educated.

The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran
- Probably one of the most poetic, spiritually-uplifting reads I've ever come across.

The Idiot's Guide to Learning French by Gail Stein
- This selection is a bit random but I believe one must learn a foreign language or two. The author simplifies learning such romantic language and even discusses the culture.
