There are several mantras for becoming a successful hubber. If you follow the steps suggested here sincerely after understanding the things properly, there is nothing that can stop you from becoming a top hubber.

Hubber and hub score:

Hubpages use hub score to determine the quality of individual Hubs and they take many factors into consideration for computing the hub score. Hub score is determined on a rating scale of 0 to 100, with 100 being the top score. A Hubber Score is used to determine the status of a hubber.

Method of computation:

The most important Hub Score components that one should be concerned with include the following:

• Amount of traffic (number of visitors), including percentage from sources other than HubPages

• The length of the Hub: This is the most important criteia to determine the hub score. A good hub usually must have 600 to 1000 total word count  (the more unique writing, generally, the better)

• Type of content (original or copied content)
• Uniqueness of content (whether routine type or unique)
  

• The number of thumbs-up votes from unique users

• The overall quality of the Hub (it should have a nice mix of all capsules)
  

How to improve your hub score: It takes some time to understand the matrix of hub score. Generally when a new hub is saved as unpublished it is assigned a hub score. A hubber may take a clue from it after publishing a few hubs. The topic of the hub (Title) has a great influence on your initial hub score. If you have prepared a hub on a process or methodology and your hub title have the words like "How To", "What are the ways" "Earn Online Cash," or some refernce to a new technology, such type of hubs are assigned generally a hub score of 50. General topics are generally awarded a hub score of 49 or so.

11. Submitting free to search engines really does not yield much. Learn to subscribe your hub's RSS feed to blogline, newsgator, atom and yahoo etc. Remember, as many as links you place to your hubs on the net, visibility of your hubs to the search engines will increase traffic to your hubs.

12.Always keep updating your hubs. If any of your hubs has no visitors, revise it adding more content. If you don't have time to revise the entire hub, please try to revise introductory paragraph. Search engines will crawl it again.

Of course, they will send traffic to your site but keep in mind that clicks from such traffic have very low monetary value. Hence take advantage of these sites to streamline your traffic but don't continue for a long time. 16. Provide links to your other relevant hubs in all of your hubs

Make your introductory paragraph in the hub as much interesting as you can do. This introductory statement of the first paragraph of your hub is the most important part of your hub both in public and search engine's eyes. So don't write it in a casual manner and keep it modifying till you find it most suitable.

• There are few other tricks to improve your hubber score. These tricks demand active participation in forums (hubpages), visit to the hubs of other hubbers, joining fan clubs, placing comments on hubs, asking questions and replying to other's questions etc.
• To maintain a good hubber score, one has to publish new hubs at regular intervals (2-3 hubs/week)
• Visit hubpages regularly and spend considerable time on the site
